DELANO POV
"Daddy look!" Salem screamed while holding up a bug. This little girl will pick up anything and not be sacred. "I see it. Now put it down!" I said.
"Why?" She asked. This is a new phase of asking why on anything and everything. "Because if the bug bites you then it's going to be a problem. So put it down".
She put the bug down and ran off. Both Kai and Ryan were riding their dirt bikes around. Meanwhile Harlow was just walking around touching everything. I'm starting to wonder why did I chose this idea. Gia came running over to me "I found it". She held up her phone showing me the itinerary for our flights tomorrow. "Oh good... so we leave the house about eight".
She nodded "yup. And thanks to Ron he will drive the moving truck for us across the country". Ron... I wasn't a fan of Ron. Especially after helping Gia hide out from me. "Yeah, sure" I said. She smiled and went back to her phone. Looking at the kids before just realizing this time tomorrow we will be in a whole different state.
Salem ran up to me and tripped. Next thing I know I felt something crawling on me. Trying my best to knock off whatever it was. The bug flew to the ground and crawled away quickly. Salem gasped cause she knew she was in trouble. "I'm sorry".
"You don't listen..." I said.
"I felt bad for the bug" she said.
"Maybe you should sit in the car for a bit" I suggested. She pouted and got into the car giving me the puppy eyes. "Don't fall for it" Gia said.
"I'm not" I said. Glancing at the time it was getting late. Rallying up the other three.... we made it home and just got our things together. Gia eventually moved her things into here so we could all leave together in the morning.
The next morning... whomever said it would be easy to leave on time with four kids... lied.
We reached the airport in one piece thank god. Both girls were in a double stroller. They would hold us back. Pushing it as fast as I can... once we got to the gate they allowed us to board. Ryan and Kai were together and Gia and I along with Salem and Harlow were together. But we were right next to each other.
"Mommy, how come I can't sit with Kai?" Salem asked.
"Because he rather sit with Ryan" gia responded.
"But I don't want to sit here!" Salem somewhat yelled. Gia eyed her with a warning. Salem quickly got quiet and didn't say anything else. Kai laughed pointing at her. "Kai don't egg her on" I said.
Salem crossed her arms over her chest and pouted.
"Maybe you should take notes from your baby sister. She's acting all nice" I said.
"She's a baby!" Salem whined.
"Look I'm going to count to three and god help me if I get to three. You need to calm down and stop" Gia warned. Salem looked at her and sat up straight. We sat on the mat for a good hour. "Why haven't we moved?" I asked. Gia shrugged "I have no idea".
An announcement came on the speaker... informing us we will have to unboard the plane. Due to lack of crew... sighing cause now I don't know what's going to happen.
We all walked back into the airport. Not knowing anything about our flight. "This is ridiculous". All the kids sat down minus Salem who decided she wanted to play tag with Harlow.
"If you two don't sit your butts down..." Gia warned. Salem smiled and took a seat. This wasn't the time for this. "Daddy I'm hungry" she said.
"Me too" Kai said.
"Let me go get you guys something and try to see what's happening" walking around for ten minutes that's when I found a small cafe. Waiting for the food I glanced at the screen that displayed flight times. Our flight was leaving in ten minutes. That can't be right.
But I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Making my way back to where Gia and the kids were. Seeing both Salem and Kai running around. Airports aren't for kids. "Good news! Our flight is leaving in five minutes".
"Are you sure?" Gia asked.
"That's what the screen said" I pointed out. She raised her brow and went to see. "You mean more like five hours!".
"Five hours?!" I asked just to be sure I heard her right. She nodded... "now what do we do?". Watching our kids except Ryan just going crazy. There was no way we can stay here for five hours.
"Maybe we can see if they can switch our flight to another.." I said.
"I doubt that'll work" she said. We walked over to the ticket agent. "Hello sir, how may I help you?" A woman smiled.
"I was on flight five eight sixty two and it's delayed for five long hours. Is there any possible way I could be moved to a closer flight?" I asked. She typed away on her computer... "well that flight was delayed but now it's a layover flight. Due to mechanical problems. But I'm sorry I can't switch you to a different flight".
"Look.... Barbara. My wife over there is pregnant. She's hormonal she handling four of our children. She's very close to snapping. Now to save everyone in here I suggest you move us to a closer flight" the woman glanced at gia who was running after Salem. "Well... when you put it that way... there's a flight leaving in forty five minutes. You'll need to get to the gate now!". I smiled "thanks Barbara you'll be getting five stars from me!". Running over to gia grabbing everything and racing to the gate.
Making sure everyone was settled and okay. The plane took off and we were on our way to Connecticut. "So How did you convince her to get us on this flight?" Gia asked.
"Oh I lied and told her you were pregnant and hormonal... it worked" I said. Gia smirked and just shook her head.
