DELANO POV

Ryan, Kai and myself were going on a boys trip. Which means Gia and the two girls will be here alone. Not really worried about that. Harlow is here so I know she'll protect her mom and sister. Plus, the dog is here as well.

"Dad where are we going again?" Kai asked.

"It's a convention for your video games" I said.

"Oh yeah" he smiled. Ryan carried his bag to the car. I followed behind him. Kai ran pass me and got into the car. Gia came out and stood at the door frame "no goodbyes".

Ryan sighed "Mom we were going to say bye!".

Gia knew he was lying "sure you were".

Kai hopped out the car and hugged Gia. She ran her hands through his hair "please be careful". Ryan walked over to her and hugged her "make sure these two are okay". He nodded "I know mom".

"We'll be fine" I said.

"I know that but remember I'm pregnant so my mind races" she said. Walking up to her I kissed her "don't worry we'll be back tomorrow". She nodded "have fun". We got into the car and drove off.

"Dad did you want more kids? Or was it mom the one that decided that I needed a brother?" Ryan asked.

"Actually no offense Kai but you were a surprise. Not much of trying to prevent but you showed up quick" I said.

Kai looked at me like he didn't want to hear anything about him being conceived. "Plus Ryan needed a playmate cause he was attached to mom".

"He's still attached to her" Kai joked.

"Kai is a little jealous that I'm closer to mom than he is" Ryan said.

"No I'm not! Mom and I are close. You just don't know about it" he said.

"Can we not do this?! I had this problem recently with your sisters" I said.

"That was a whole other story! But those two are crazy. Especially Harlow. I would hate to be on her bad side" Ryan said.

"Question... where do you see your sister in say ten years?" I asked.

"Truthfully?" Ryan asked.

I nodded "Salem will be sixteen... I want to say doing good in school but she's easily influenced so I wouldn't be surprised she's having sex or tried a drug. Harlow... will be fourteen. Hormones and all. She's going to end up murdering someone" Ryan said.

Kai laughed "I agree with the one about Harlow. Don't be surprised the cops come knocking on the door one day looking for her".

"You guys are making Harlow sound horrible" I said.

Ryan turned to me "did we forget she tied me up?".

"Alright... Alright! I get it" I said. The place where this convention is going to be at is a good three hour drive. So we had a lot of time to talk. "Dad where's your mom?" Kai asked.

"She passed away" I said.

"Mom took her out" Ryan said flipping through a magazine.

"Mom killed your mom?! Say what?!" Kai said.

Ryan nodded "Yup".

I sighed "Yeah it's true. But my mom was an evil person. She wasn't meant to be a parent either".

"What happened?" Kai asked.

"She abused me. Even left me at a group home for kids. She didn't come back for eight months. Leaving me there because her new boyfriend saw me as an inconvenience. Was never the same after that. I saw so many things in that place. It's embedded in my brain" I said.

"Damn dad... I didn't know" Ryan said.

I shrugged "that's why I made a promise to myself to be a good father to my children".

"And you are dad" Kai said.

"Thanks" I smiled.

"Hmm is that why you ended up sleeping around?" Ryan asked.

"I guess so. Since my mom never gave me any type of attention or love. I tried to get it from woman" I said.

"That's so weird. You went after mom who was damaged as well. And from what I know she gave you a hard time at first. So why peruse her?" Ryan asked.

"Because when mom walked into my office that first day I know she was the one" I said.

"So you saw fireworks and all?" He asked.

"No but my heart skipped a beat though. That's never happen to me before her" I said.

"So you and mom were meant for each other?" Kai asked.

"I would think so. Maybe we were meant to be together through some weird unknown force" I said.

Ryan smiled "you know what's weird? How Kai looks like your twin. And the rest of us look like a mixture of you and mom both".

"Hey! I can't help it that I look like dad" Kai said.

"There is nothing wrong with looking like me. You see how handsome I am" I joked. Ryan cracked a smile and Kai laughed "dad is so full of himself".

"Am not! Just know I look good" i said.

Kai shook his head "oh boy!".

"Anyway Ryan you never know Ryder or river can look like Kai or like you" I said.

"Oh that's right those two are coming soon! Please tell me there's no more after that?" Ryan asked.

"Nope no more! Mom is tired of having babies" I said.

"About time" Kai mumbled.

"Hey I thought you guys loved having siblings" I said.

"Yeah we did then we got Salem and Harlow. That was it for me" Ryan said.

"I just got Salem and I was done" Kai said. These boys are too much. The rest of this car ride will be very interesting to see what else comes out of their mouths.
