HARLOW POV
"Harlow finish up your breakfast so we can go" my mom said. I wasn't hungry. The plate of eggs and grits sat on the table. Don't get me wrong I love grits especially when it's with cheese. But I just wasn't hungry, yet. Pushing the plate away from me. My mom turned to me "again? Not hungry". Shaking my head she took the plate and wrapped it up "you'll eat it later". That's what she thinks.
She walked me out to the car helping me inside and strapping me in. My mommy was very pretty. Maybe that's why she was lacking common sense. Hmm... "ready?" She asked. I nodded. We had to go run errands for mommy. Usually she would be at work but she hasn't been there in days.
We pulled up to the post office. I hated this place. They were so slow!. "Come on lets go" she opened the door letting me get out by myself. Walking inside the place had so many people. "Why do we have to come here?" I whined.
"Because I need stamps and I have these to go out" she held up the envelopes. Waiting in line.. it was taking forever. Scanning the place and looking at the people. One face was very familiar. Isn't that?. Slowly moving from mom I went to set karma straight.
The tall man stood there looking around. Until he spotted my mom. He smirked rubbing his chin. I stood behind him. It looks like he wanted to move to talk to her but I don't think so. Being very slick I tied his shoes laces together. He didn't feel a thing. Then I tied the aisle belt to his briefcase. This should be funny to watch. Going back to where my mom was I stood there minding my business. My mom looked down at me and smiled.
A big crash caught both of our attentions. We both turned to see the same man face first on the floor and the aisle poles all on the ground. He seemed upset and trying to get up but he couldn't. Covering my mouth I laughed. Dummy!. Thinking he was about to talk to my mom and then be mean to my dad and get away with it. Not on my watch. When he finally got up he was holding his mouth. It seemed like some red stuff was coming out. He must've hit the floor hard. Serve him right.
My mom wide eyed him and then realized who it was she laughed. We were next. My mom walked to the window and I stood next to her. The man mean mugged me. Taking my two fingers I put them to my eye and back to him. He looked confused but he got the point. Once we were done I skipped out with a smile. Maybe this trip wasn't going to be a waste.
A whole two long hours we finally got back home. My daddy was home too. Running in the house I hugged his leg not letting go. He looked down and smiled "Someone is happy to see me!". Rubbing my hair as he said that. "Hi daddy!" I smiled. My mom walked in and smiled "what are you doing home so early?".
"I decided to work from home for the rest of the day" he said.
"Yay!" I cheered.
"It's always the girls who favor you" my mom said.
"They love their daddy" he smiled.
"Oh so we were in the post office and guess who was there?" My mom said.
"Who?" Still on my dad's leg.
"Salem's old teacher. He was on the ground. Looks like he must've fallen down and busted his mouth in the process" my dad laughed "good for his ass".
My mom cleared her throat pointing at me. "Oh yeah I mean good for his butt". My dad took a seat at the table and I climbed up to sit on his lap. "What are you doing?" I asked.
"I have to do work" he said.
"Oh, can I play on the computer?" I asked.
"After I'm done, okay?" He said.
"Okay" I sat there just enjoying being with my dad. He was so funny and loving. Sometimes at night when I can't sleep he makes me hot chocolate and we drink it together. That's our special moments together.
The door flew open and Salem came running in. Rolling my eyes cause here she go. She stopped and stared at me "Why is she on your lap?".
"Because she wants to be" he typed away.
"Can I sit on your lap too?" Salem asked.
I sighed "no".
"I didn't ask you!" She said.
"We are not going to fight. Daddy has to work. So either you both will behave or no one is sitting on my lap at all" he warned. Smiling at Salem cause she be doing too much. "I'm going to go find my Elsa doll that I think Harlow touched".
"Prove it" I said.
"Did you touch her doll Harlow?" My daddy asked.
I shrugged "maybe Olaf took it".
"Harlow..."
"What? Maybe he did" I said. My dad sighed I guess he knew what was in store once Salem realized I took her doll. But she has to find it first. So I have time.
