72 HOURS BEFORE...

RON POV

"Does she know you are coming to see her?" My girlfriend asked.

"Umm not really. Wanted to surprise her" I said. She smiled "Gia is very lucky to have a friend like you". My girlfriend was pregnant which we both were extremely excited about. My daughter was happy as well. For once we will be a big happy family.

As for her status. Before I thought her visa was up. But come to find out she had gave them the wrong year she was born. So it extended her visa for a full year. But don't get me wrong I still want to marry her.

"Be careful" she said.

I nodded "always". We kissed and I was on my way to the east coast. Gia has no idea I'm coming to see her. As most of you might think but I don't have any hidden feelings for her. Gia is a very sweet caring person. I just wish she would find someone who would value her the way she deserves.

My mother was Gia. She came from an abusive childhood. Then got mixed up with the wrong crowd. That's when she met my dad. He had his own issues and our household was turbulent. The cops were called many times. It wasn't healthy for me to be around that. I've witnessed my dad beating my mom to the point of no return.

When my mom ran away from him and we were hiding out for a while. He never came for us. Finally we were free of him.

So when Gia was running from her husband I didn't hesitate to lend my hand to help. After witnessing what I've seen. I couldn't even allow someone close to me to relive it.

Two days later I made it to Connecticut. Texting Gia to meet me at the local cafe. She was somewhat shocked but she agreed. Before I went to the cafe I stopped off at the hotel. Checking in and going up to my room.

In the midst of just relaxing for a quick five minutes. Someone knocked on my door. Room service this early?. Opening the door I saw two maids coming inside. One of the maids was tall but her head was down. "Room service!".

"Umm Okay" I said.

Standing there as these two tried to make sure everything was straight. I turned around to put something in my bag before everything went black.

DELANO POV

The loud sirens ringing and confetti coming from the ceiling. Ryan and Kai both were yelling jumping up and down. I was cheering as well. "Congratulations you won!" The announcer said. Someone came and handed both boys the large check.

Can not believe they won! Maybe all the video games playing was worth it.

After all the commotion and noise we walked out. Ryan and Kai couldn't stop smiling. "We won cause we are the best".

"What are we going to do with the money?" Kai asked.

"Before you go making plans. You can only spend some of it. The rest is going into your savings" I said.

"There dad goes... blowing it" Ryan said.

"Ryan what would you buy with all this money?" I asked.

"A new game console, more games, new headset, a game chair... should I keep going?" He said.

"Well buy that with the money I'm giving you out of it to spend" I said. We didn't even stay overnight. I wanted to go home. Especially with this money I didn't feel safe staying in a hotel.

"Mom is going to be so happy!" Kai said.

"Yup, and she thought the video games needed to be limited" I said.

Ryan smiled "well now she can have a change of mind".

Three hours later we finally got home. Both boys raced inside. Large check in hand. Gia raised her brow "what the hell is that?".

"Money" Ryan smiles. Gia walked up the check and smiled "wow! You guys won this?!". Ryan nodded "yup your boys did the job and won!".

"Well you do know you won't be spending all of this" she said.

Both Ryan and Kai rolled their eyes "dad already popped our bubble". The boys went to their room with all smiles. I took a seat at the kitchen table. Gia joined me and she sighed "You okay? The girls were t too much, right?".

She shook her head "no they were fine. But someone keeps eating their granola bars".

I smirked "guilty! Those bars are very good". She shook her head "anyway... Umm Ron's girlfriend called me asking if I've seen him. I told her no and now he's worried something might be wrong. And I agree with her. But I told her when you come back we can go report him missing".

"Yeah sure we can do that tomorrow morning" touching her hand with mine "trust me he's probably fine".

She eyed me "I don't think so". I mean I've never liked Ron. Always thought he had a crush on Gia. But I feel bad that he's missing. Would never wish that on anyone. Well maybe the people I don't like.
