DELANO POV
With all that's going on... I wanted to do something nice for Gia. But before I even do that we'll have to tell Salem the truth about what happened to her dog. She can be overly emotional so this probably won't go well.
"Ready?" Gia asked.
I sighed "I guess". We walked to the girls room and saw Harlow playing with her rabbit. Salem was on her bed looking at her tablet. "Harlow can we speak to Harlow alone?".
She hopped up and left the room closing the door. Salem turned to us a little worried. "We have to talk to you about the dog".
"You found him?!" She asked.
"In a way we did. But the dog went to see Jesus" Gia said.
Salem covered her mouth "the dog died?".
I nodded "he's in a peaceful place now".
"Wait how did he die? He wasn't sick" she said.
"Umm the dog got run over by a car. Mom found him when she went to clean the backyard" I said.
"Oh!" She said. Gia sat next to Salem and hugged her "if you want we will get you another dog".
She shook her head "no! But thank you. It was nice to have a dog but their too much work". Raising my brow and glanced at Gia who was trying not to laugh.
"You have to walk it like a million times a day!" She whined.
"Dogs needs a work out and they have to use the bathroom too" I said.
"Then why didn't you walk him?"she asked.
Clearing my throat "it's your dog. So it's your responsibility". She rolled her eyes "oh well! But Harlow's bunny is cute. Where's Harlow?". Salem jumped off her bed and went to find Harlow.
"So that went better than I expected" Gia said.
"Right? I thought she would be over the top crying" I said. Well with breaking the news to Salem... which went well. Now I needed to get my dinner planned for my wife.
Ryan and Kai helped me decorate. "She'll love this dad".
"That's the agenda" I joked.
"I like it when you guys are all lovey doves" Kai said.
"Of course you would" Ryan said.
"What?! It's a beautiful thing to see" Kai said.
"Boys we need to hurry up. Mom will be back at any time now" I said. They stopped talking and just worked to get everything together.

GIA POV
Opening the door to our house and it was pitch black other than the flicker of candle light. Oh boy! What is Delano up to now?!. Slowly walking in "Delano?".
He popped up from behind the door making me jump back. "You really need to stop scaring me!".
"Sorry! Wasn't my intent" he smiled.
Taking some deep breaths I walked in some more. He closed the door for me and locking it. Habit.
"Come on follow me!" He grabbed my hand leading me to the dining room. The table was decorated with candles. "Date night?".
He nodded "haven't done this is a long time. And we had fun the other time we did do it".
"True" I said. He pulled out my chair for me to sit. Delano walked to his side and sat down. "You look beautiful as always".
I blushed "aw, thank you!".
"You're welcome! Want to play twenty questions again?" He asked.
Taking a sip of the water I nodded. He smiled "good I'll start. How come when I brought you flowers you never seemed excited?".
"Fun fact I'm allergic to roses. I get hives and it's nasty. But you always got me roses! Hence why I had to act like I didn't want them. Nor touch them" I said.
He smiled "ah, makes sense now".
"Have you always had long hair?" I asked.
He shook his head "Nope! My hair used to look like kai's. But then I decided why not let it grow" he said.
"I can't imagine you with curly hair" I joked.
"My hair is curly when it's short. I don't know why when it grows it turns straight" he said.
"Who would've known" I said.
"Do you miss meaty? Cause he misses you" he smiled.
"That isn't a real question. Next!" I laughed.
"Fine, How did you learn to cook so good?" He asked.
"Since my mom wasn't the best at tending to me. I just watched a lot of cooking shows and picked up things from there. But I also knew I was going to be on my own from early" I said.
"It's funny I sort of knew I would have my own business early on to. Crazy how your mind prepares you" he said.
"So I've noticed you tend to have small patches on your legs at times. So what's up with that? Like I don't know already but I rather hear it from you" I smiled.
He cleared his throat "I suffer from psoriasis. It's not as bad as it could be. But it's still there".
"I knew it! Fun fact... Harlow I think is suffering from that. Made a doctors appointment to make sure" I said.
"Really? Wow" he said.
"That's why I asked. She had to get it from someone since it's genetic" I said.
"When you first saw me. Did you think I was cute, handsome?" He asked.
I smiled "when I first met you I thought you was obnoxious. But after time went on I did think you were cute. Especially when you would get me coffee on those early mornings you had me come in for no reason to just stare at me".
He laughed "you caught on, huh?!".
"You tried to be slick. But you wasn't that slick!" I joked.
"Umm.. I feel like I probably asked this before. But why did you let bria get an abortion? I thought you were so against that" I asked.
"Bria wasn't mother material. She had some serious mental issues. If she had kept that baby. Do you realize the torment that child would go through? Or how she would have pawned that child to get to me. I foresaw that. And I didn't want to deal with it. Plus, I didn't want to lose you and our children either" he said.
I had no response.
"Gia, you and Bria are two different people. When you told me you were pregnant with Ryan. I knew I wanted you to keep him. The person I saw in my office early mornings showed me you would be an amazing mother. And I was right six kids later" he said.
"Trying not to cry" I looked away from him.
"Favorite holiday?" He asked.
"My birthday, and yes that's a holiday for me! And Christmas. Cause I love to see our kids happy faces on that morning" I said.
"You beat me to it. I was about to say your birthday isn't a holiday" he laughed.
"Have you always been attracted to women like myself?" I asked.
"Truthfully? No. I've always been with my own race. But when you walked into my office that day for that application. All of that went out the window" he smiled.
