I'm too pregnant to deal with this stress. Now I was mad at this whole pointless situation. Going to the kitchen I went into the utensil draw. Taking a butter knife I went to Harlow's room door and put the knife right where the lock was. If you don't pay bills then you don't get to lock doors in here. The door opened and Harlow jumped. She wiped her face and stood up.
"Before I yell at daddy and have him talk to you. We need to talk" I said. She sniffled and sat down. "Look I'm the person to blame for why you and daddy aren't close. I know it's confusing but just listen up. When you were born I was hiding you from daddy. He didn't meet you until you were almost one. As you know daddy cheated on me. You don't really know the woman he cheated on me with. But I was in a very bad place and needed space. I hid you from dad and who knows if Salem didn't open her mouth how long I would've kept you hidden. I wanted to hurt daddy so much cause he hurt me. But not realizing the damage I was doing. I'm sorry! I really am. Growing up in a family where I never experienced love. I didn't want any of you to feel that. You try to do your best to protect your children from things. But that doesn't work. Again I'm truly sorry. Salem grew up with daddy around so they had a bond from when she was a baby. She hated me. Everything was daddy and Kai. That's why they're so close. I robbed you of that" she looked at me and hugged me. I was taken back. Not really expecting that type of response.
Hugging her back she lifted her head up "Mommy I love you!". My heart melted "aww... I love you too". We had a moment, but hopefully she understands what I just told her. Cleaning her face from tears with my hand. "Always loved your chubby cheeks" kissing them she laughed.
"I'm going to send daddy in here. Is that okay?" I asked. She nodded. Closing the door slightly. Delano popped up in front of me "you!".
"Me?! What?" He asked.
"Look I'm pregnant with not one but two growing babies. The last thing I need is stress. You need to really pay attention to what just happened. Why didn't you go after Harlow?" I asked.
He shrugged "she was mad. I was going to let her cool down first".
"No dummy! You need to go after her. She was upset!" I said.
"Look Relax! You're getting all worked up. I'll go talk to her now" he said. Sometimes Delano was too laid back when he should be taking charge. "You need to wake up!".
"I am up! I saw what happened. What would you like me to do?" He asked.
"Oh my goodness!! You're annoying me!" I said.
"First you're yelling at me and now I'm annoying you. Which one is it?" He asked.
"Delano if you don't get your white fine looking ass in that room I'm going to hit you" I warned.
He smiled "white fine looking ass, huh?".
"Delano!!!" I yelled. He skipped to Harlow's room.

DELANO POV
Slowly making my way into Harlow's room. She was sitting at the window looking outside. Clearing my throat she glanced at me "hey". She looked back outside. Picking up the mermaid doll "you dropped this" placing it next to her. She grabbed the doll punching in the face then throwing it back on the ground.
"Alrighty... why did you get so upset before?" I asked.
"Even when Salem was talking about me.. you still didn't defend me!" She said.
"Harlow sometimes it's best to let Salem talk. Trust me it works" I said.
"You still don't get it! You let Salem talk about me! If that was me talking you would have said something like you always do!".
"Not true! Look... I'm sorry I didn't defend you. But we had a fun day today. Doubt let Salem take that away from you" picking up the doll and putting it in her bed. "Plus she was just healings that we went out".
Harlow side eyed me "I guess I'll have to just accept you'll always choose Salem over me".
"No you don't! I'm here now right?" I said.
She sighed "mom made you come in here".
"Yes and no" I said.
She turned and blinked at me a few times. "Harlow like I said before. I love you just like I love Ryan, Kai and Salem. I mean I don't know what else to do to prove it to you".
"Sure" she smiled. She got up and left me in the room. Gia stood by the door with her hands on her hip "what the hell was that? You could've done way better than that. Come on!".
I shrugged "I tried!".
She rolled her eyes "Harlow come here. You want some hot chocolate?".
"With marshmallows?!" She asked.
"Of course" Gia smiled. She wrapped her arm around Harlow's shoulder walking with her to the kitchen "Are you going to help me?". Harlow smiled "yes!". She climbed up on the stool watching his start the process of making her the hit chocolate.
