Since most of the kids were in school. It left me with Harlow who was turning out to be a handful. Let's thank Salem for teaching her little sister to be just like her. She was getting on my nerves so I took her to the park to run free and wild. As soon as we got there she sprinted to the play equipment.
Taking a seat on the bench just watching her. She was all over the place just like Salem used to be. Usually Delano would take her but he had to catch up on work. Looking around the park to see some other mothers with their baby.
Feeling someone sitting next to me I glanced st the corner of my eye. "Hello Gia".
"Hold up? Don't you live like two states away? How did you get here so fast?!" I asked. If you must know it was Delano's sketchy ass dad. "I have a house out there but I'm here for now".
"Oh, and you just happened to be at the park?" I asked.
"The park is public property" he said.
"Weirdo" I mumbled.
"She likes the park I see" he said.
"Any child would love the park" I said.
"Gia you seem like a very nice woman. So I'm going to be upfront with you about Delano" he said.
"Here we go... tell me" I said.
"For one, Delano is just like his mother. No different. That's why he doesn't show his emotions. He doesn't have any. His mother taught him very well. Have you seen his anger?. It's like a monster coming out".
"Wait? If you left when he was little how would you know any of this?" I asked. Listen if you are going to waste my time for some made up shit then he better have some references. "Can I talk?" He asked.
"Go on..." I said.
"Secondly, did Delano ever mention to you he got arrested?" He asked.
"Nope, for what?" I asked.
"When he was a young adult. There were allegations that he raped a classmate of his. Now he says it's not true but the girl passed a polygraph" he said.
"Not for nothing but for an absentee father you sure know a lot" I said.
"Just please be careful. Delano can be a monster when he's ready" he said.
"Look old man... I've been through a lot of bullshit over the years. Actually I just got rid of the bullshit and I'm not about to allow you to whirl in unnecessary drama. If you want to talk to Delano then you can. I don't care about what you claim Delano did. He's my husband... the wonderful father of our children. So keep that negative wave to yourself. Like I said you seem to know a lot for an absentee father. Something about you ain't right. And don't think I didn't realize you put nuts in those brownies. But I trashed it. I need to go" I got up leaving him there looking shocked. Grabbing Harlow who was whining that we were leaving. But I needed to go to another park away from him.

When we left Harlow ended up taking a nap so I just went to get Salem from daycare. "Mommy!" She yelled. "Salem, Harlow is sleeping. So you need to be quiet". She looked at Harlow and back at me with a smile. We got home and Salem kept following me. "Mommy can we go to daddy's house?".
"He's busy with work. Maybe tomorrow" I said. Salem pouted "I won't make noise". Glancing at the time I saw it was after three. Maybe he was done by now. "Fine lets go". Salem jumped up with a smile. "Come on Harlow we go to daddy's house!".
Opening Delano's door cause he doesn't like locking doors. "Daddy!" Salem yelled. And she said she was going to be quiet. Delano came from his office "Hey princess!" He picked up Salem giving her kisses.
"She wanted to see you" I said.
"Yes! I miss you daddy!" She said.
"I missed you too... and Kai is here too" he said. She jumped down and ran to their room. "You seem upset".
"Im not upset but more bothered" I said. We walked to his office and he stood there. "So tell me what happened?" He said.
"Delano maybe I'm just not in the mood. Why do you think something happened?" I asked.
"Gia I know you. Something happened. So start spilling" he said.

I sighed... he walked closer to me and stood in the side of me just staring at me. "Don't even get any ideas".
"Ideas? Me? Never... I'm just waiting for you to tell me what happened" he smirked. Feeling his finger trace the side of my face. "Your dad showed up at the park to talk shit about you. He made up some allegations about you. And how you got arrested before... but I snapped and told him to just leave me alone and I don't want to hear any crap from him about you".
"What was he doing at the park? He doesn't live in the state" he said.
"News flash... he does live in Arizona. He has a house in Utah but he lives here now" I said.
"Wow! It's weird he didn't tell me this" he said.
"Look your dad is sketchy. He makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand straight up. Just please be careful around him. I know he's your dad and you always wanted one. But at the same time he's a complete stranger to you" I said.
He leaned in and kissed me. "Are you listening?".
"I'm trying but those lips were calling me" he kissed me again. Which led to him picking me up and placing me on his desk. "Close the door! Don't need any children walking in on us" he nodded and slammed the door shut locking it. Luckily both girls were in the boys room.
