GIA POV

I wanted to spend some time with Ryan today. Since moving in with his dad I barely get to hang out with him. He's my oldest and we somewhat grew up together. "Ryan? Let's go before Salem tries to come along". He came out combing his curls with his fingers. "I'm ready".

Opening the door he walked out first. Following right behind him to the car. I made this new rule that every other week I was going to at least spend some time one on one with my boys. The girl live with me so I'm always with them. "Where are we going?".

"Get some food and shopping" I smiled.

"That sounds good to me!" He joked.

Ryan was a tall like his father. He wasn't too skinny but he had meat on him. Solid meat anyway. Even though Kai is Delano's twin. Ryan is the mix of us both. He has my nose and Delano's mouth. The eyes are brown. Kai and Salem are the only ones with light eyes. He has small freckles across his nose and cheeks. Like myself. Ryan has these beautiful curls. So silky smooth. It's like butter when you put your fingers through his curls.

"Why are you staring at me?" He asked.

"I can't look at you?" I asked.

He shrugged "you're acting weird".

"I'm a mom. Let me be" I said. We pulled up to the diner which wasn't too far from where we lived. Both of us walking up to the entrance Ryan opened the door for me "Such a gentleman".

Taking a seat in the back of the place. Ryan sat watching the entrance way. "So tell me... I know school is going good. But how's the ladies?".

"What ladies? The girls in my class aren't pretty" he said.

"Well damn, Ryan. There's got to be a girl you find cute in your class" I said.

"Nope, none of them are cute" he said.

"What type of girls do you like?" I asked.

"Umm... I like all girls. I don't have a preference" he said. Wouldn't be surprised if Ryan ended up with a black girl "if you say so". The waiter came and took our order. We sat there just talking. It's crazy how much Ryan is like me. Scary actually. Seeing Ryan jump a little when he glanced at the door. Turning my head I saw the last person I would think to see.

"Mom, Kai and I saw him and dad's dad talking the other day" Ryan said.

"Really?" I asked.

He nodded "yeah! I didn't think they knew each other. And wasn't your dad locked up?".

"Exactly why I'm confused. No one called me to inform me he was released. The system is lacking" I said.

"Something isn't right with these two hanging out with each other" Ryan said.

"I agree! Did you tell dad about what you saw?" I asked.

"No! I didn't want to get him all riled up for nothing" he said. Ryan kept his focus on the door. "Did they leave yet?".

"Not yet. Why would they be hanging out together?" He asked.

"It means they're plotting" I said. Ryan glanced at me and back at the door "over my dead body. I'll protect you mom. Don't worry".

"That's sweet! But don't worry about me. You are a kid. Don't worry about adult problems" I said. He was so focused like a cat watching a bird. "They left".

"Anyway let's not make this ruin our day. When we get home tell dad what you saw. Even though it'll hurt him a little he needs to know" I said.

"Okay mom I will" he said. After we stuffed our faces we went to the local mall. I let Ryan pick out some clothes which he had no problem doing. When we got home Delano was playing with Salem and Harlow. Poor thing was playing make up. Let's not even go on how Delano looked like.

"Girls can I speak with dad alone?" I asked.

"Okay! But dad don't take none of this off!" Salem warned.

"Thank god you came back. What's up?" He asked.

"Umm Ryan has something to tell you" I said.

Ryan cleated his throat "the day Kai and I missed the bus home. We walked through the city and stopped at the local store. And we saw your dad and mom's dad talking to each other. And when I say they were talking... they were talking like they knew each other. I don't think that was their first time meeting each other".

Delano's face dropped a little "Are you sure?".

Ryan nodded "Kai can vouch for me". Delano eyed me quickly... "thanks Ryan! Let mom and I talk Okay?". He quickly went to his room. Delano stared at me "wow!".

"Yeah I know! And the icing on the cake while we were at the diner. They both walked in and spoke" I said. Delano shook his head "I can't believe this!".

"Believe it! It's happening. But what do we do?" I asked.

"We have to play it cool. They cannot know we know anything" he said.

"I hope you're right about this. Last thing we both need is anything crazy to happen. I know they're plotting something. But when will they strike is the question!" I said. We sat there in silence with Delano still in makeup.
