Chapter 146

Maddy and Steve sat outside the Avengers Compound, both staring at the floor. Both looking rather beat. Steve looked up and turned towards Maddy....trying to find the words to talk to her.

"Maddy, I don't like how we left things off....I shouldn't have pushed you away, I was just hurt...that you were leaving," Steve said.

"It's not like I wanted too! I just needed to do what was best for James," Maddy sighed.

"He looks just like Buck," Steve whispered.

"I know," Maddy said.

"I should've left with you," Steve replied.

"It's fine....It was the right thing, for the both of us," Maddy sighed.

"It wasn't! I should've lived by our quote 'till the end of the line'.....I will regret that for the rest of my life!" Steve said.

"Just don't leave me! I will always need my brother....and James will need his Uncle," Maddy smiled.

"I won't! Not now and not ever," Steve said.

Maddy wrapped her arm around Steve's shoulders and pulled him into a hug.

"I've missed your dumb face," Maddy smirked.

Steve shook his head...

Suddenly a car pulled up along the side of them....Maddy smiled.

"Why the long face? Let me guess.....He turned into a baby," Tony said.

"Among other things. What are you doing here?" Steve asked.

Tony climbed out of the car....and walked towards the trunk.

"How's James?" Maddy asked.

"He's good! Him and Morgan are planning their wedding," Tony laughed.

"So why did Scott...turn into a baby?" Steve asked.

"That's the EPR paradox! Instead of pushing Lang through time, you might've wound up pushing time through Lang. It's tricky. DANGEROUS! Somebody should've cautioned you against it," Tony frowned.

"I did!" Maddy said, raising her hand.

"Correction...we both did! Thank God I'm here. Regardless, I think I fixed it," Tony replied, raising his hand and showing them something.

"How? With a GPS?" Maddy asked.

"Not just any GPS! A fully functioning Time-Space GPS. I also brought gifts....for you both! I really hated resentment," Tony said.

"Me too," Steve replied.

"We got a shot at getting these stones, but I gotta tell you my properties: Bring back what we lost? I hope, yes! Keep what I got? I have to, at all costs. And....maybe not die trying will be nice," Tony sighed.

"Sounds like a deal!" Maddy smiled, looking over at Steve...waiting for his response. 

Steve nodded, extending out his hand to Tony....which Tony took.

Tony reached into the Trunk and pulled out Steve's Shield....he handed it to Steve.

"Tony?" Steve asked.

"Why? He made it for you. Plus, honestly I have to get it out of the garage before Morgan or James takes it sledding," Tony laughed.

"Thank you, Tony," Steve smiled.

"And Maddy....I made you a new suit!" Tony smirked, handing Maddy a suitcase.

Maddy grabbed the suitcase and opened it.... which revealed a black suit, and blasters that attach on the wrists....Maddy lifted the suit and saw that Tony added her old star, from her very first suit.

"Thank you, Tony!" Maddy smiled.

"Christmas came early!" Tony cheered.

"Thank you, Tony," Steve said.

"Will you keep that a little quiet? Didn't bring one for the whole team....We are getting the whole team, yeah?" Tony asked.

"We're working on that right now!" Steve replied.

"Yeah! Natasha went to grab Barton....and the rest should be arriving any minute," Maddy smiled.

Maddy and Scott sat on a bench outside...both eating some tacos and some nachos. A familiar ship started to land, causing Scott's tacos to fly everywhere....Maddy couldn't help but laugh, but she soon saw how sad he looked....so she gave him the rest of her food. Scott smiled.

"Hey, Maddy! Humie! Where's Big Green?" Rocket asked, walking off the ramp of the ship.

"Hey, Rocket!" Maddy smiled.

"He's in the kitchen, I think," Scott said, turning to look at Nebula who appeared walking off the ramp.

"That's Nebula," Maddy replied.

"That's awesome!" Scott smiled.

"Rhodey, careful on re-entry! Maddy and an idiot on the landing the zone," Nebula said.

All of a sudden Rhodey appeared in front of Maddy and Scott....causing Scott to scream and throw his taco.

"Hey, Rhodey!" Maddy smiled.

"How's the baby?!" Rhodey asked.

"Good! Just turned 5 not too long ago," Maddy said.

Rhodey turned to look at Scott...

"What's up, regular sized man?" Rhodey asked.

The Hulk walked past Maddy and Scott... he looked down and noticed the food that was all over the ground. He smiled and handed them some more tacos...they both grabbed them.

"Thank you," Maddy replied.

"You're welcome! We'll be back soon...Rocket and I are off to go get Thor," Hulk said.

"Tell him if he doesn't come...then I'll kick his ass, we really need him," Maddy sighed.

Hulk nodded...and started to walk away. Leaving Scott and Maddy to their tacos.
