His Super Soldier // Bucky Barnes

Chapter 127

Maddy sat on the Quinjet writing a letter to Tony, Steve asked to write him a letter explaining why they did what they did. Bucky laid beside her, resting.....while Steve and T'Challa flew the jet. T'Challa met them outside after beating Tony....he apologize for trying to kill Bucky and hoped that we'd forgive him. Which they did.

"How's the letter coming along?" Steve asked, walking over towards his sister.

"I-uh think its coming along great!" Maddy smiled.

"Read it to me?" Steve asked.

"Sure," Maddy said.

She cleared her throat....

"Tony, we're glad you are back at the compound.  We don't like the idea of you rattling around that huge mansion all by yourself. We all need family! The Avengers is yours, maybe more so than ours. Steve and I have been on our own since the age 18 and 17, we never really fit in anywhere....not even in the army. Our faith is in people, I guess. And we're happy to say that, but maybe they shouldn't. We know we hurt you, Tony. Steve thought by not telling you about your parents that he was sparing you, but even I can see that he was really just sparing himself and maybe even me. And we are both very sorry. Hopefully one day you can under stand....I wish we all agreed on the Accords, I really do! We know that you were only doing it because its what you believed in, and that's all any of us can really do. That's all any of us should do," Maddy replied. 

"Wow that is very deep," Steve sighed.

"I tried my best...I hope I included everything," Maddy said.

"You almost did," Steve smiled.

"What do you mean almost did?" Maddy asked.

"Include the future he promised you," Steve said.

"Steve...as much as I want kids, all I really want is you and Bucky," Maddy sighed.

"And I want is for you to be happy! That's all I really want for you...and being with Bucky makes you happy," Steve smiled.

Maddy stood up and pulled Steve in for a tight hug....she turned her head and saw T'Challa looking at them.

"Ms. Rogers....when we get to where we are going I'm gonna have you talk to my sister, I think she will be able to help you," T'Challa spoke up.

"Where are we going?" Maddy asked, pulling away from Steve.

"My home!" T'Challa said.

"Wakanda?" Maddy asked.

"Yes," Steve smiled.

"Are you gonna help Bucky?" Maddy asked.

"Yes! I feel bad for trying to kill him and all I want to do is get your forgiveness," T'Challa replied. 

"You have my forgiveness," Maddy smiled.

"Are you sure about this?" Steve asked.

"Yeah! Are you really sure about this?" Maddy asked, concern filled her eyes.

"I-I can't trust my own mind. So, until they figure out how to get this stuff out of my head I think going back under is the best thing....for everybody," Bucky sighed.

"B-But you can't," Maddy said, tears started to form in her eyes.

"Oh darling...I'm not leaving, they are just going to fix me," Bucky smiled.

"Can you give us a moment?" Maddy asked, turning to face Steve and T'Challa.

They both nodded.

"Now one more time....Are you sure?" Maddy asked.

Bucky grabbed Maddy by the waist and pulled her in for a kiss....it was slow and sweet and filled with so much love.

"Marry me!" Bucky said...pulling away.

"Are you sure?" Maddy asked.

"Baby...I've been sure since the moment you rescued me from HYDRA, from the moment you spent a year with me to help me regain my memories....So marry me," Bucky smiled.

 "Yes," Maddy said.

"Yes?" Bucky asked, voice full of happiness.

"Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!...I'll keep saying it hundred times, YES" Maddy laughed.

"Once I wake up, lets have a small wedding," Bucky said.

"I like the way you think," Maddy smiled.

"Steve will give you away! it will be perfect," Bucky smiled, pulling Maddy close.

Steve walked back over and smiled....

"Did you ask her yet?" Steve asked.

"You bet!" Bucky smirked.

"And by the looks of everything....she said yes?" Steve asked.

"I'm standing right here! Maybe you both should get married, instead of me and Bucky," Maddy frowned.

"Now! Mrs. Barnes....I only love you, you are the woman who has my heart. Forever and always baby," Bucky smiled.

T'Challa walked over and sighed....

"It's time," T'Challa said.

Bucky nodded and climbed into the cryo....freezing him into a deep sleep.

Maddy placed her hand on the glass and sighed....hating to be away from him, even if he was right in front of her. Steve placed a hand on her shoulder..... she turned and looked at him.

"Thank you for this!" Maddy said, looking over at T'Challa.

"Your fiancé and my father, they were both victims. If I can help one of them find peace.... I will do it," T'Challa smiled.

"You know, if they find out he's here....they'll come for him," Steve spoke up.

"I'd like to see them try," T'Challa smirked.

They all three walked to the large window and stared out....all around them were nothing but trees.

"It's beautiful!" Maddy whispered, staring out the window like a child seeing snow for the very first time.
