Chapter 100

Maddy walked around the corner and saw that Barton was on the phone..... with a huge grin.

"Barton! We may have something," Maddy spoke up.

"Gotta go!" Barton said, and quickly hung up the phone.

Maddy tilted her head.... rather curious on who was on the other end of the phone.

"Hey! Who was that?" Maddy questioned.

"Um girlfriend," Barton said.

After everyone was gathered up.... Steve passed around the photo of Strucker's body.

"What's this?" Tony asked.

"A message. Ultron killed Strucker," Maddy said avoiding eye contact with Tony.

"And he did a Banksy at the crime scene, just for us!" Tony smirked.

"This is a smokescreen. Why send a message when you've just given a speech?" Natasha asked.... looking over at Maddy, who was looking down at her feet.

"Strucker knew something that Ultron wanted us to miss," Steve said.

"Yeah, I bet he..." Natasha paused, turning to look at the computer monitor.

"Yep! Everything we had on Strucker has been erased," Natasha continued.

"Hm not everything," Tony said.

Everyone quickly started going through physical files..... that they had on Strucker.

"Known associates. Well, Strucker had lots of friends," Maddy sighed.

"Well, these people are all horrible," Banner replied.

"Wait! I know that guy!" Tony paused.... pointing at the picture that Banner had.

"From back in the day. He operates off the African coast, black market arms.... There are conventions, alright? You meet people, I didn't sell him anything.... he was talking about finding something new, a game changer, it was all very *Ahab*," Tony said... passing around the photo of a man named Ulysses Klaue.

Thor points to Klaue's tattoo on the back of his neck.

"This!" Thor said, looking up at Tony.

"Uh it's a tattoo. I don't think he had it...." Tony replied but was cut off.

"No, those are tattoos! This right here is a brand!" Maddy correcting Tony.

Banner identifies the brand on Klaue's neck on the computer.

"Oh, yeah! It's a word in an African dialect meaning thief, in much less friendly way," Banner smiled.

"What dialect?" Steve asked.

"Wakanda....? Wa-wa-wakanda." Banner said, with a confused expression.

"If this guy got out of Wakanda with some of their trade goods...." Tony replied but was quickly cut off once again.

"I thought Howard said he got the last of it?" Maddy asked, looking up at Tony.

"I-uh don't follow. What comes from Wakanda?" Banner asked.

"The strongest metal on earth," Maddy replied, pointing over to Steve's shield.

"Where is this guy now?" Steve asked, looking over at Tony.

"Probably where Ultron is.... which means we should all get our suits on! Tony you figure out where they both are," Maddy said.

Everyone turned to look at Steve... waiting for him to respond.

"You heard her! Let's go!" Steve replied.

Everyone quickly rushed out of the room, Maddy started to walk away but was stopped.

"Little Rogers! I want to apologize for last night," Tony called out.

Maddy nodded.... and quickly rushed off.
