His Super Soldier // Bucky Barnes

Chapter 120

Maddy and Steve peer through a gap, watching a chopper fly overhead....Sam leaned up against a wall a couple of feet from them, watching Bucky.

"Hey, Maddy....Steve!" Sam called out, moving closer to Bucky.

Maddy and Steve rushed towards them....Bucky's face lit up as soon as Maddy walked in.

"Maddy! S-Steve," Bucky smiled.

"Which Bucky are we talking to?" Steve asked.

"Sarah was the name of your mother...Steve u-used to wear newspapers in his shoes and Maddy used to beat up larger men who picked on Steve," Bucky said.

"Can't read that in a museum," Steve sighed.

"W-What did I do?" Bucky asked, looking over at Maddy.

"Enough," Maddy replied. 

"Oh, God! I knew this would happen. Everything HYDRA put inside me is still there. All he had to do was say those goddamn words," Bucky frowned.

"Bucky, Who was he?" Maddy asked.

"I don't know," Bucky sighed.

"People are dead! The bombing, the setup. The doctor did all that just to get 10 minutes with you. I need you to do better than I don't know," Steve said.

"He wanted to know about Siberia. Where I was kept...He wanted to know exactly where," Bucky replied. 

"Why would he need to know that?" Maddy asked.

"Because I'm not the only Winter Soldier," Bucky frowned.

Maddy and Steve froze...they both looked at one another.

"B-Bucky who were thy?" Maddy asked, walking over towards Bucky.

"Their most elite death squad. More kills than anyone in HYDRA history. And that was before the serum," Bucky said, staring at Maddy.

"They all turn out like you?" Sam asked.

Maddy snapped her head in his direction....and frowned.

"They were much worse," Bucky said.

"The doctor, could he control them?" Steve asked, kneeling in front if Bucky.

"Enough," Bucky sighed.

"He said he wanted to see an empire fall, why?" Maddy asked.

"With these guys he could do it! They speak 30 languages, can hide in plain sight, infiltrate, assassinate, destabilize. They can take a whole country down in one night. You'd never see them coming," Bucky said.

Sam took a step closer to Steve, grabbing his attention...they both turned on their heels and walked away. Maddy looked at Bucky, who was still staring at her.

"W-What?" Maddy asked.

"Nothing....just staring at my heaven," Bucky smirked.

"W-Who....What?" Maddy asked, looking away...her face turning bright red.

"I may not remember everything but I remember my love for you," Bucky said.

"I-I-I wow," Maddy replied. 

"Once this is all over....and we put a stop to all of this, I want to settle down....w-with you," Bucky smiled.

"I've been wanting to hear those words since the 40s," Maddy said, turning to look at Steve who was still talking to Sam.

"But?" Bucky asked.

"But I don't think I can leave Steve....at least not with out a proper goodbye," Maddy sighed.

"From the moment I saw you...I was in love. I will always love you Maddy. Forever and always! And after all of this you will be my wife....and we will figure out how to have kids...because you are my super soldier just as I am yours," Bucky smiled.

"W-What....are you proposing? Because if so...now is not the time," Maddy frowned.

"Nope! Just planning our future, darling," Bucky smirked. 

Maddy stared at Bucky...unable to say anything, it was as if he had planned this speech from day one, even before the serum. All Maddy knew was that she was falling even more in love with Bucky...each and everyday she spent with him.

"Maddy!" Steve called out.

Maddy jumped to her feet and turned to look at him.

"We need to get dressed and meet someone about getting our things," Steve said.

"T-Things? I didn't bring anything with me," Maddy replied. 

"She's grabbing you and Bucky each a gun," Steve sighed.

"She?" Maddy asked.

Sam laughed....which caused Maddy to frown.

"who is she?" Maddy asked.

"You'll see," Sam smirked.
