His Super Soldier // Bucky Barnes

Chapter 177

As they all three walked away from Walker...Sam turned towards Bucky.

"So what are you thinking?" Sam asked.

"Well, I know what we have to do. When Isaiah said 'my people," Bucky sighed.

"Wait, whose Isaiah?" Maddy asked.

"He was a black Super Soldier I met back in 51," Bucky said.

"Why am I just now hearing about this?" Maddy asked.

"I-Look can we talk about this later?" Bucky questioned.

"Anyhow...I don't think he meant take it to the heart. That's not what he meant...I don't think," Sam replied.

"No, he meant HYDRA! HYDRA used to be my people," Bucky said.

"Oh no," Maddy groaned.

"Are we thinking what I think we are thinking, cause if so....not a chance," Sam frowned.

"He knows all of HYDRA's secrets. Don't you remember Siberia?" Bucky asked.

"I try not to," Maddy frowned.

"So you're just gonna go sit in a room with this guy?" Sam asked.

"Y-Yes," Bucky said.

"No! Absolutely not! I can't have you go all Winter Soldier," Maddy replied.

"Maddy....I have too," Bucky sighed.

"If you go, I go," Maddy said.

"I-okay fine," Bucky groaned, knowing there was no point in arguing with his pregnant wife.

"Okay, then. We're going to go see Zemo," Maddy replied.

"He's just through that corridor," A guard said.

"Alright. Guess us just a second," Sam replied.

"Me and Maddy should be the only ones to go," Bucky sighed.

"Why?" Sam asked.

"Cause you're an Avenger. You know how he feels about that," Bucky said.

"Last I checked so is Maddy," Sam frowned.

"Hey!" Maddy said.

"Also, it's not like you and Zemo are known for frolicking in the sun together," Sam replied.

"He was obsessed with HYDRA, but trust me I know we have history. I got it," Bucky said.

"Don't worry Sam...I won't let Bucky out of my sight," Maddy smiled.

Sam nodded and watch as Bucky and Maddy walked away....off to talk to Zemo.

Bucky and Maddy walked down a very guarded hallway.....they reached a door and walked in, Zemo sat on a bed which was surrounded by glass. They both walked up to the glass and as they did the familiar Russian words appeared. Chills formed up and down Maddy's spine.

"Those days are over," Bucky said.

"I know. I just wanted to see how the new you would react to the old words," Zemo replied, walking up towards them.

Zemo looked from Bucky then to Maddy....a smirked formed on his face.

"Something is still in there, but at least you weren't conscious for most of your imprisonment....that time wasn't exactly a picnic, but for what it's worth, I'm sorry. It was never personal," Zemo sighed.

"Wow! Prison has changed you. I almost feel bad for you," Maddy said.

"Mr. Barnes, you were simply a means to necessary end," Zemo replied.

Bucky squeezed Maddy's hand.

"Someone recreated the Super Solider serum," Maddy sighed.

"W-We need to find out who," Bucky said.

"You both are assuming HYDRA has something to do with this, which is why you both came to me.....which means you both are very desperate," Zemo smirked.

"Wipe that disgusting smirk off your face," Maddy snapped.

"Luckily for you both, I know where to begin," Zemo said.
