His Super Soldier // Bucky Barnes

Chapter 162

Maddy fluttered her eyes open, she sat up... seeing that the sun was on the horizon slowly rising, she noticed Bucky was nowhere in sight....but could hear the shower running.

She hopped off the couch and walked to her room, grabbing a pair of sweats and a sports bra....throwing them on. She walked into the hallway, throwing her hair up into a ponytail.....

Bucky walked out of the bathroom... a towel wrapped around his waist. Water dripped down his chest..... causing Maddy to bite her lip.

"No need to stare Doll..... you're aloud to touch if you want," Bucky smirked.

"I-um going to go on a run," Maddy said.

Bucky walked closer to Maddy causing her to back up...

"Do I make you nervous?" Bucky asked.

"Absolutely not!" Maddy laughed.

Bucky went to pull Maddy into a kiss, but Maddy moved out of the way.... causing Bucky to stumble forward.

Maddy laughed.

Bucky growled.

"See you after my run," Maddy smiled, rushing outside before Bucky could do anything.

Maddy walked up the porch after her run, pushing the door open..... only to realize Steve was sitting in the living room.

"Steve? Where's James?" Maddy asked.

"He's with Tony and Pepper," Steve said.

"Why didn't you just bring him with you?" Maddy asked.

"Because we have to take the stones back," Steve replied.

"Oh....right," Maddy sighed.

"Don't worry Kiddo! Everything will go according to plan," Steve smiled.

"What exactly is the plan?" Maddy asked.

"We return the stones to their timelines... and return back," Steve said.

"What about Peggy?" Maddy asked.

There was a long pause.....

"Steve? Are you planning on going back?" Maddy asked.

Steve looked away.

"I see...... I'm going to go take a quick shower and get out of these clothes," Maddy sighed.

Maddy walked into her room.... flopping on the bed.

"I always knew till the end of the line would come to a sudden end.... just didn't think it would be today," Maddy mumbled.

Bucky walked out of the closet.... wearing the clothes from the funeral.

Maddy looked up at him....

"Did you know he was going back?" Maddy asked.

"No, but I kind of figured he'd go back," Bucky sighed.

"Why does he want to leave?" Maddy asked.

"Because all three of us are out of time, and deep down you want to go back as well," Bucky said.

"Even if I do.... I'm not just gonna leave my friends and son behind," Maddy frowned.

"He deserves to be happy," Bucky sighed.

"I know! But I always thought he'd find happiness here.... and we'd stay together," Maddy said.

"He may go.... he may not," Bucky replied.

"And if he does?" Maddy asked.

"Then we'll deal with it!" Bucky said.

Maddy sat on the bed.... thinking about what Bucky had said, for someone whose been constantly fighting a war inside his head had a point.... Steve deserve happiness and she should expect that.

But she couldn't.

Because they were with each other till the end of the line..... and the end of the line wasn't going to be today or tomorrow but in the far away future.
