His Super Soldier // Bucky Barnes

Chapter 66

Maddy quickly walked into the door of her apartment.... and roughly closed the door.

She walked down the hallway but stopped, she felt a presence in the apartment.... she slowly walked around the corner and about jumped out of her skin when she noticed Fury sitting on the couch.

"H-How did you get in here?" Maddy asked.

"I have my ways," Fury laughed.

"W-What do you need?" Maddy questioned.

"I was wondering how your mission was going? Natasha mentioned that The winter soldier has tried to kill you twice now," Fury said.

"Um well we've had a few altercations, but I'm fine," Maddy replied.

Fury nodded.... but continued to stare up at Maddy.

"I sent your brother on a mission, after he gets back... I need you to come with me, just for precaution.... if you don't mind?" Fury said.

Maddy nodded.

Fury stood up from couch and walked around Maddy and left...

Maddy walked to her bedroom and pulled out her journal and started flipping through the pages...

She finally came to a blank page and started drawing.... drawing the eyes of the winter soldier.

"Those eyes look so familiar, I can't place a finger on it," Maddy mumbled.

She slowly started finding  herself drawing his hair and then his eyes.... she then found herself sketching his mask he wore when they first met.

Although it had been a year since she last saw him.... she could still see him in her mind, his blue eyes were burned into her skull.

"I must know who you truly are, even though you've tried to kill me multiple times.... I feel connected to you some how," Maddy whispered.

She brought the drawing up to her eyes and looked at it.... she smiled weakly and noticed how on point it was.

"For someone who is trying to kill me, I find you very attractive.... and I hate myself for that," Maddy sighed.

She quickly closed the journal and tossed it to the other side of the bed.... she let out a loud groan and crawled off the bed.

Maddy slowly walked to the bathroom and stared at herself in the mirror before she leaned over the bathtub to turned on the shower.

She gracefully stripped her jogging clothes off and stepped into the shower.... the nice hot water burned her skin, she gently placed her fingers on the spots where he had shot her.... tracing them.....although there wasn't any scars there, she could still feel the wounds.

Maddy closed her eyes and let the hot water wash her body.... she quickly opened her eyes when she felt another presence, she looked at the shower curtain and noticed a figure.

Chills ran down her spine... she  jerked back the curtain and noticed that no body was there.

Maddy sighed.

She quickly turned off the water and wrapped her body in a towel and rushed to her room.... where she sat on her bed and stared out the window.... watching people walk the streets, seeing how normal they were.

She wanted to be normal....

She wanted to have a life.....

She wanted Bucky..... and it broke her heart knowing he isn't here with her.
