The boys kneeled on the ground of his office.

They had never been allowed inside.

A desk, bookshelf with ancient texts, and a red rug in the middle.

Each boy knelt and and bowed their head.

Obsidian could feel the marks from his nails forming on his palms.

Their Master took a breath before reaching towards one of the books on the shelves.

"You see boys I was planning on waiting to tell you this until you were all 15 at least but, it seems now is the better option." The book was leather but old. It had a different language written on the cover.

"No need to bow my sons." They looked at each other before rising to their feet.

He opened the books and sighed heavily.

"You see, our world used to be much different. We didn't have to hide, we were not cowering in fear. Legends were nothing but a rare occurrence. Back then, we were supreme. The king and queens would rule everything. Until darkness came. The Dark Ones we called them, horrible creatures. They wiped out everything. Every army every defense they took it all out. We had no idea how to stop them they were a mystery to us." He flipped to a certain page before handing it to Conner.

It was a drawing of an army with maybe 10,000. They looked dead. They were skin and bones. Some were on horses and even they looked dead. The drawing was messy but you could see a leader. It was in the middle holding a sword.

Conner pased the drawing to Ace who was next to him.

"The one in the middle is as we belive the leader. He is to be said as able to control them all. Each one of those things are dead. Dead fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters all risen to fight alongside of him. They are extremely hard to kill only certain items can give them a for sure death. That was the Great War after they won, they left very few survivors. We have no idea where they went. Until, a legend was told. It was said a prince would find them and bring The Dark Ones to his side. They would be unstoppable. Which leads me to you. You see the prince has a sister and she is alive-hidden-but alive. She is the hope for our people. For our world. Everything is up to them." He stopped and took the book back since they all finished seeing the drawing.

He mumbled something in a different language. The boys all looked to each other in confusion.

"What language is that?" Colby spoke up. The Master looked up.

"The ancient tongue. Before we went into hiding and before the Great War many different creatures stood right here on this earth. It is said that the dragons taught our people their tongue and we carried it on." Each boy perked up at the mention of dragons.
