Aarmau: Remember Me, Remember Us, Just Remember

Chapter 2

The silence is deafening. Melissa pushes past everyone to stand before Rowan, "Wait, really?!"

Rowan simply nods, "We all know Aphmau's mother is a force to be reckoned with. Pair Katelyn's dad with her and they're wreaking havoc on the Guardian Force. They've convinced them to send her home, if not to heal than to at least spend what time she has left at home. Her mother wants to bring her back to her house but we all know she'd baby her to death, literally. So, Aphmau needs a place to stay."

Melissa simply nods, "That's easy. The house is her home just as much as it is Aaron's. She'll come there. I can take care of her."

Katelyn shakes her head, "Oh no you don't! You can't do it alone Melissa. We'll all take turns. She's like a sister to me and I'll do anything for her."

Everyone agrees but turn as Rowan sighs. "It's good to see you all coming together for her. You have to know she will need a lot of care. It's worse than what Aaron suffered after the lodge."

Melissa smiles, "It doesn't matter Rowan. We'll take care of her. She's family and she would do the same for any of us."

Rowan nods, "We have one week before she arrives. Where will she be set up?"

Surprisingly Aaron speaks up, "There's plenty of room by the fireplace if we move things around. That way she's exposed to everyone and won't be allowed to shut anyone out. When she's feeling better, we can move her to a bedroom. Plus, fall is coming and it's warmer down there."

Rowan can tell Aaron's sight has improved and smiles, "That's a good idea Aaron. Even though she's physically healed they're going to have her in a chemically induced coma for the first week to keep her from stressing out. I'm going to start making a few phone calls to get the equipment she's going to need."

As he pulls out his phone Gene glances around the room, "Werewolf huh? Guess I really can't call her Kitty anymore."

Aaron growls, for some reason that pet name suddenly irritates him. Sure they've told him about her but he can't recall any feelings for her. So why does he feel so protective of her all of a sudden? If only Shu would talk to him maybe she could help.
