Katelyn, Melissa and Garroth move into the kitchen and begin to talk about what they want to make for dinner. While they talk Aaron pushes his chair away from the bed and as he looks down sees a smear of blood on the floor.

Turning his head, he notices more than just a little smear was left behind and he freezes. Seeing the evidence of what happened bothers him so he heads into the small bathroom, gathers cleaning spray and several towels and goes back to clean up the mess.

Crouching down he sprays the different spots and after they sit for a couple of seconds, he wipes them up with the towel. He slowly pushes back to his feet and studies the area to make sure he didn't miss anything. The sudden feeling as if someone's watching him begins to bother him so he glances around the room until his eyes meet Aph's.

Setting the cleaner and towels in his chair he moves over to the side of the bed and with his back to the kitchen smiles at her. "How are you feeling Shu?"

Aph glances into the kitchen and then down at the bandage on her arm. When she looks back up at Aaron she frowns, "I should ask you the same thing. I saw that look on your face F.C. You know I'm not exactly normal anymore."

Aaron tries to keep his voice down, "No I guess not but neither am I. We'll talk about that later when it's just us. For now, how are YOU feeling?"

Aph blushes and rolls her eyes, "Well, until Gene showed up, I was feeling really good. We've made out before but it was never like that. I doubt it happened because you suddenly remember me as Aphmau but I'll take what I can get. Even if you don't remember me from before maybe we can go from here. Start over maybe? After Gene, well I don't remember much after he pulled you off of me. I remember hitting the ground and asking you if you were alright. Everything goes dark after that."

Aaron looks away for a second and then sighs as he looks back at her, "I'm sorry Shu. I can only say that for some reason I had to kiss you but I shouldn't have. I didn't ask you. Even so, I can't imagine it ever being better than that. Please forgive me?"

Aph blushes and reaches for his hand, "You have nothing to be sorry for F.C. and you did nothing that requires forgiveness. I wanted to kiss you just as much. So, if you ever feel that need again it's alright to ask. Hmm, if I ever feel like kissing you, can I?"

Aaron's eyes widen in surprise, "If you ever feel that need, sure. You know you could always kiss Gene."

The smile she had in her eyes vanishes and she huffs, "Yeah kissing is not what I have in mind for Gene. I do not and never will have feelings for him. He was a jerk in school and we only started being friends a couple years ago. Hmm now that I think about it you were a jerk too and look how we turned out. Yeah but no, never!"

Aaron smiles and chuckles, "The poor bastard, I do think he was sorry when he left earlier. He said he'd be back in a couple of days to apologize but he needs that time to think. So Garroth said he blackmailed you in high school. With what?"

Aph sighs and then groans with the question, "It seems so stupid now. Even back then Garroth and Laurence were best friends. The first day of my freshman year I met Garroth and Laurence within an hour of each other and at first, I crushed on them both. Garroth stole my first kiss and then told me not to tell Laurence. Gene had a picture of that kiss and threatened to show it to Laurence if I didn't do what he wanted. I didn't want to hurt either of them so I did what I was told for a while."

Garroth groans from the kitchen, "I was so stupid back then!"

Aaron looks shocked that she would let anyone tell her what to do, "That's when he tried to get you to join the Shadow Nights? And started calling you Kitty. You said for a while, what changed?"

A sad smile fills Aph's eyes, "You did F.C. The day I finally stood up to Gene, you told me that if I let him walk all over me, I would only have a bad time. You told me that if I did and kept my secret Gene would win. You told me to call him out the next time he threatened me, that revealing my secret was better than allowing Gene to control me and make me into someone I wasn't. You said that if Laurence and Garroth were truly my friends they would understand and be there for me. If not then I needed to find new friends. You were right, about everything."

Aaron offers her a lopsided grin, "Man I was smart. That's some good advice. So, tell me about us. What is our story? I've been told various versions of us but you are the only one that knows the true story."
