Aarmau: Remember Me, Remember Us, Just Remember

Chapter 8

Despite what he said Gene refused to stay for dinner. After he left the rest did their part putting it all together and then sat down either at the kitchen island or in the living room discussing everything and anything that happened during the day accept what happened with Aphmau.

When dinner was done Katelyn, Travis, Kawaii~Chan and Zane walked back to the girl's house to watch a movie, Kim went to Lucinda's house to talk about work schedules for the next couple of weeks, and Garroth, Laurence and Dante went back to Garroth and Laurence's house to play video games. This left Melissa and Aaron alone in the house once again.

Together they washed and put away the dinner dishes, wiped down the counters and then straightened things up around the house. Aaron couldn't help but look at Aphmau from time to time which did not go unnoticed by Melissa.

With everything cleaned up Melissa exaggerates a yawn and stretches her arms over her head, "I'm beat. If it's alright I'm going to go to bed."

Aaron glances at Aphmau and frowns, "What if she wakes up again? Wait it's not even 8."

Melissa hesitates for the briefest moment. She's been watching Aaron for days now and he's responded more with Aphmau here than the whole year she's been gone. "You'll be ok, right?"

Aaron turns back to Melissa and nods, "Yeah, sure."

Once Melissa makes it upstairs Aaron moves into the living room where Celestia, Alexander and Eli are curled up together in front of the couch, pulls out his phone and sits down. He scrolls through the pictures on his phone of him and Aphmau together and wishes more than anything he could remember her.

Backing out of his gallery he opens up his text messenger and looks through its history. He rereads the messages between him and his parents, him and his sister, him and all the people that make up their friends, and then him and Shu. He finds it a little odd that there are no messages between him and Aphmau but maybe it's because they were always together.

It's been weeks since he last tried to text Shu and with everything that's happened this week he hasn't thought of her once. With a frown he decides to try texting again because who knows when one might actually work and get through to her.

"Hey Shu, are you there?"
