Lucinda looks back at Aph and nods, "I've given a lot of thought to that other issue. The Maze will work but it won't be easy getting him there. If you were at your full power already he'd be no match but you're not. You can't do it alone."

Gene takes his plate over to the dining room table and interrupts. "What are you two talking about?"

Aph glances around the room and then sighs, she notices she's doing that a lot lately. So much drama in their lives. "Ivan. Irene warned me he's going to cause trouble for us but I've already felt it coming. We've been trying to figure out what to do with him. I suggested the Maze and Irene suggested a completely different dimension or realm. If he's in the Maze at least we can keep an eye on him. That whole keeping your enemies close thing."

Garroth waves her worry away, "He's just a warlock. We can take him."

Zane crosses over to Garroth and comes really close to smacking him in the back of the head, "Um, remember the last warlock? I'd rather not do that again."

Emmaline clears her voice, "What about a portal? All you'll need to do is open one and then push him through."

Aph nods, "We thought of something like that when we were looking for Garte but it takes a lot of power and I don't know what will happen when I send a living breathing person through. Besides, I'm nowhere near ready for something like which is why Aaron and I will be heading for the Sacred Forest the day after Halloween. We're going to spend a couple of weeks there while I finish healing. The Forest is kind of like a battery charger for me, it'll speed up the process. Until I'm ready we just keep Ivan busy."

Everyone starts talking at once. No one knew they would be leaving so soon but it's not like they were going far.

Lucinda shakes her head and yells at everyone to shut up. "The Forest is the best place for Aph. She won't be going far and it's not like she'll be completely cut off from us. As for Ivan, if something should happen before then, which I doubt it will, we can pool our powers and send him through. If something untimely should happen to him, it sucks to be him. I won't lose sleep over it."

Aaron growls, "That's might be an option but only if it's necessary. I won't let anything happen to my family."

Everyone agrees and the subject is dropped. By the time everyone finishes eating all the food is gone and they wander off to their own houses.

Aph and Aaron move into the living room to watch some Netflix before bed. The pups settle down on the floor in front of the couch, Melissa joins them and leans her back against it, Aaron sits on one end while Aph lays down with her head in his lap.

Aaron, being the amazing fiance he is, agreed to watch Virgin River and it wasn't long before they were sucked in. Several episodes later he glances down to see both Melissa and Aph have nodded off so he grabs the remote and switches it to The Walking Dead.

He only manages a couple of shows before he starts to get sleepy. He gently wakes Melissa and together they carry Aph up to the room.

Aaron doesn't have the heart to wake her and force her through her nightly routine so he tucks her under the covers, strips down to his boxers, and slides in next to her. She instinctively sighs, rolls toward him, and snuggles up against him.

He'll never stop feeling eternally grateful for her love. He reaches over for his phone, pulls up Eternity, and pushes play. The soothing music fills the room and within seconds he falls asleep.
