Over the next couple of days, they fall into a steady routine. It's been years since they've had anything even close to a peaceful life and they take every moment to enjoy it.

In the morning, Aph wakes up, struggles through morning sickness, eats a calming breakfast, and rounds it out with a small nap to regain her strength. Sometimes Aaron joins her and other times he stays downstairs to clean up the breakfast dishes so Melissa can head into work.

In the afternoon, they have a large lunch either at the house or at the Cafe, work in the garden, go grocery shopping, play with the dogs and occasionally visit Hyria. Aph takes a second nap and usually convinces Aaron to join her.

After the second nap, if she can convince him and she's gotten really good at it, they make love and then head downstairs to plan dinner. As usual, the whole gang usually shows up and they discuss the events of the day before heading to their own homes.

Aph wishes her life could always be like this but she knows it's never this easy and never lasts. She misses working at the Cafe but until she's strong enough to get through a shift without feeling rundown and needing a nap she knows it's not an option for her.

In the evening, they settle down to watch t.v. and no matter how hard she tries she always falls asleep halfway through their show. Aaron never complains and says he actually likes carrying her to bed. He likes taking care of her.

Aaron makes sure to turn on Eternity every night to help ease her mind. Aph has assured him she hasn't had any late-night visitors and hopes it will stay that way.

Then one morning Aph wakes to find Aaron isn't in bed with her. It's not the end of the world but she loves waking up next to him and knowing he's there. Not having him there is hard for her.

She sits up in bed and glances around the room and sighs. She starts to throw off the covers when the door opens and Aaron comes in with a tray full of foods that are morning sickness safe.

He sets the tray down on top of their dresser and removes a small rectangular box. He crosses over to her, leans down to give her a gentle kiss, and then hands her the box.

Glancing down at it her heart stutters when she notices it's a pregnancy test. She quickly does the math and realizes it's been long enough that the test should work so she scrambles off the bed and rushes into the bathroom.

She wasn't even gone three minutes when she came back out with the test in her hand. Aaron can see the tears in her eyes and her hand is shaking so hard he's afraid she'll drop it.

He rushes over to her to comfort her, "You're supposed to wait five minutes Babe. Give it more time. If it doesn't happen this time around we can keep trying."

Aph starts laughing and shakes her head. "I didn't even need the three minutes Aaron. It came back positive so fast I thought it was a joke. I remember reading that the hCG hormone can be much stronger when you're carrying more than one."
