Aarmau: Remember Me, Remember Us, Just Remember

Chapter 7

The nurse stiffens and then hangs his head, "All they told any of us is that she could possibly be dangerous and to keep her weak. Forgive me Irene."

The whole room turns and stares at him again. The anger is enough to make anyone cringe and he instinctively backs up into Rowan again. Rowan tightens his grip on the nurse and pulls him toward the door, "We're going to go have a little talk."

Aaron knows he should put her down and step away but he can't. He could hear her heart beating uncontrollably without the use of the monitor and for some reason it scared him. Was that another memory?

Melissa slowly approaches him from behind and gently places her hand on his shoulder, "Aaron, you need to lay her back down, she's asleep again."

Aaron flinches, briefly tightening his hold on her before finally laying her back against her pillow. They all look at Aphmau's calm expression knowing that she's anything but calm and that they will never forget the sound of her scream.

The front door opens and the rest of their friends spill into the room not knowing what just happened. Gene looks from face to face before settling on Aphmau and then frowns, "Why is Rowan yelling at that nurse outside? Oh, hey Travis! It's good to see you back."

Katelyn buries her face against Travis as Zane walks over to Kawaii~Chan and pulls her into his arms. Kawaii~Chan looks at Zane and instinctively cries, "Zane~Cun, why are you crying?"

Travis nods at Gene, "Hey Gene. It seems the Guardian Force doctors are all assholes. They've been giving Aph a paralysis potion making you all think it's to keep her asleep. You're anything but asleep with that stuff in you. We had that nurse reverse the affects and based off Aph's reaction when she woke up, she's not in a good place."

Gene's whole body stiffens and then he turns for the door. They all know what he wants to do so Garroth steps in front of him to keep him from going outside, "Rowan has the nurse under control. We need to focus on Aph now. Next time she wakes up she needs to know she's home, that she's safe and that we're all here for her."

Gene clenches his teeth and then turns to Aaron. "Just so you know I don't care if you proposed to her back at Starlight and that she said yes. As far as I'm concerned, the moment you forgot her is the moment she stopped being your fiancé. If she gives me even the slightest hint that she's open to a new relationship I'm taking it. You don't deserve her. She needs to know that she's unforgettable."

Zane growls at Gene, "You're crossing a line Gene! You have no right to force anything on Aph. Aaron might not remember her right now but she still remembers him. Aph has never been one to give up on any of us and I don't see her starting now. If you can't accept that then leave."

Gene refuses to break eye contact with Aaron, "Oh I'm not going anywhere. I will be here for her no matter what. And I won't have to force anything on her."
