As they head back to Hyria's home outside the forest Aph can't help but ask, "Hyria? Lucinda's reincarnation found her way to you. Zane and Garroth found their way to Garte and Zianna, who were their parents in their past lives. I saw Lilith when I was in high school. Levin and Malachi are my age now. Why? Why didn't they come to me?"

Hyria's smile is gentle, "Lord Aphmau adopted Levin, Malachi, and Lilith. None of them were her biological children. Irene never told me the name of her and Shad's daughter but if Lord Aphmau had Alina it's possible she was a reincarnation of Irene's daughter. I know she died when she was young. If the pattern continues then it's possible we'll see Alina again."

Aph sighs but nods in understanding, "I'm not seeing anything in my memories but did Irene or Lord Aphmau have a boy?"

Hyria frowns as she shakes her head, "No, neither of them had any boys. Of course, neither Shad nor Lord Aaron lived long enough to have more than little Alina. Lord Aphmau never got over losing Lord Aaron and remained alone the rest of her life. She actually died trying to find a way to bring him back but that's another story. Why do you ask?"

Aph blushes, "I know Lord Aphmau's story and I admit sometimes I think I see a repeating pattern. I'm lucky we've come through so much and have survived. I may have been visited by a certain little girl and a little boy recently. With the reincarnation theory, I was wondering where he would have come from. I ask that you keep this information to yourself for now. Including you, I've only told three people and I would like to keep it that way if I can."

Hyria laughs, "I remember Kawaii~Chan from high school. If she's the same we'd all be deaf so I know you didn't tell her. Irene didn't limit us to just the same experiences over and over. While she did guarantee reincarnations would occur she also built the possibility of deviance to the pattern. So Alina is a fact, she will be reincarnated to you at some point however should you have more children, anything is possible."

When they make it back to Hyria's they're surprised to see Lucinda sitting on the front porch waiting for them. Aph watches her push to her feet and joins them at the bottom of the steps. "I thought I was going to have to come looking for you. You've been in there for a couple of hours you know?"

Aph gives Hyria a shocked look who chuckles at her, "Don't worry, I didn't alter time along the path or at the cottage. You merely enjoyed your visit dear."

Aph visibly relaxes as she looks back toward the forest but her heart is still racing. She can feel her anxiety lurking in the darkness like a predator waiting to attack.

She thinks back on the villages and with her experiences with the Guardian Force. She's having a hard time seeing the difference between what was done to her and what is being done to the villagers.

Sure Hyria can say it's to preserve them but a lie is a lie. With her memories, villagers from each settlement had friends and family in another. Interacting with a copy can never replace the experiences with the real thing.

Aph doesn't know if this was something Irene or Lord Aphmau had planned but Aph doesn't approve. Would Hyria stop her from undoing what has been done? She's going to have to give it some serious thought before she makes a decision.
