So how should she start? Should she talk about the people or Lady Aphmau's experiences? There are so many ways she could do this but which to choose.

Aph closes her eyes and focuses on Lady Aphmau's memories and looks at Garroth. "A lot of what you'll hear won't be found in any book because the person who wrote it down kind of forgot to protect them. You see Lady Aphmau didn't exactly start out as most people do. She was placed in the forest outside of Phoenix Drop village with a purpose."

The front door opens just as Aph starts her story and they watch as Lucinda and Hyria walk in. Hyria smiles at Aph and then walks into the kitchen with Lucinda to fix herself something to eat. It's good to see Lucinda doesn't look as upset as she did earlier.

Garroth frowns, "What do you mean she was placed in the forest?"

Aph glances at Hyria who chuckles under her breath, "Hmmm even Lady Aphmau wasn't too sure about some things. If she had a family before Phoenix Drop they were long forgotten. The bits I get from Irene is that she used a willing host to house a piece of her soul. That person was then placed in stasis inside a stone and the stone was then given to Mrs. Hyria here for safekeeping. Her instructions were to release the host into the world in a place that needed her the most."

Hyria nodded, "Phoenix Drop village truly did need her but so did the whole area at the time. I felt the forest of Phoenix Drop was the safest place for her."

Aph nodded in agreement, "When Lady Aphmau woke she had caught a glimpse of the person who had freed her from the stone so she chased after him and wound up in the village."

The whole room is silent as they listen to her story. Kim leans closer and asks who this person was and is quickly shushed by Emmalyn.

Aph laughs, "Actually, it was Vylad but she didn't know his name until much later."

Garroth and Zane glance at each other and then back at her. "Vylad?"

Aph nods, "Life back then was much different. Magic was much stronger, wilder. Werewolves, witches, warlocks, and humans very rarely got along. The Demon Warlock was a problem for Lady Aphmau as well but she never completely silenced him. There was also Shad or as he liked to be called during her time, The Shadow Lord, but he wasn't a direct threat until many years later. Shad worked mostly through pawns he called Shadow Knights."

Gene, Sasha, Zenix, and even Zane look at each other. Aph sighs, "They weren't some gang going around tagging buildings guys. Each Shadow Knight had once been an honored knight for some lord in the overworld. They became Shadow Knights when they were somehow trapped in the Nether and then warped by the Shadow Lord. To gain their full powers, they had to go back to the overworld and kill someone close to them. In their case their old lord."

Zane frowns, "Ok Shadow Knights back then were murderous thugs. What about Vylad?"

Aph shakes her head at Zane's simplistic view, "Vylad was a Shadow Night or well almost a Shadow Night. He hadn't killed anyone yet so he was in between. Phoenix Drop was his old village and Mrs. Hyria here instructed him to release Lady Aphmau in the forest close by. And don't worry, he never intended to complete his initiation. When Lady Aphmau entered the village Vylad had vanished and who did she literally run into? Sir Garroth and Sir Zenix."
