The tears that had been threatening to break free begin to fall and it takes every ounce of strength he has to keep quiet. He's so focused on keeping it in he doesn't hear Aph's heart monitor flat-line, the sound of her dropping to the floor or her pulling herself over to him.

When she reaches him she touches the hand that's resting on the floor and tries to look up into his face. Her arms tremble from dragging herself over to him but the moment she heard him crying she had to get to him. "F.C., what's wrong?"

Aaron flinches hearing her voice so close. When he looks up he's surprised to see her on the floor next to him and then glances back over to the bed. He can see the covers have been thrown back and the leads from her monitor are dangling over the side of the bed. His eyes drift back to her and he instantly knows she literally crawls to get to him.

He reaches out to her, pulls her into his lap, and then buries his face into the side of her neck. He runs one hand over the back of her head and down her hair as he hugs her with the other.

Aph tries to hug him back but she simply doesn't have the strength to do more than drape her arms around him. "F.C. you're scaring me. What happened?"

Aaron leans away from her so she can see his face, "Your birthday is October 16th, you love Popsi's because your mom gave them to you as a kid to make you feel better, Halloween is your favorite holiday, you drowned at Love-Love Paradise because you didn't tell me you couldn't swim, we were both Alpha's my senior year of high school, you bought me a phone after I got out of college because I couldn't afford to get one...I remember you! I remember my stupid little potato!"

It takes a second for her to understand what he's telling her and the moment she does she begins to cry. He tightens his arms around her and they simply sit there silently crying over what has been given back to them.
