Several hours later Aph opens her eyes and smiles when she realizes Aaron is still in bed with her. She also realizes it's the first time she's slept and not dreamt about Starlight, Irene, or actually anything.

For once she feels rested and at peace. She feels Aaron move beneath her and when she looks up at him she finds him looking back at her.

He reaches up to run his hand through her hair and smiles, "How'd you sleep?"

Aph snuggles a little closer and smiles back, "Really good. Not one dream, no visitors and I feel better than I have in a while. I was so exhausted I couldn't keep my eyes open."

He leans down to place a gentle kiss on her forehead. "You're going to get so sick of me over the next several months. I'm going to make sure you get enough sleep and eat enough. I can't believe I'm going to be a father."

Aph sighs and then smiles, "Speaking of food, what should we have for dinner?"

Aaron laughs, "I could go for pizza."

Aph nods, "Pizza sounds really good. We can order and set it up for delivery. In the meantime, we can go outside and play with Alexander and Celestia. I haven't been giving them enough attention and I feel terrible."

Aph barely waits for him to answer before she crawls out of bed and rushes downstairs. She slides to a stop in the kitchen when she practically collides with Melissa as she's heading for the living room.

Melissa catches her before she falls and starts to laugh. "Where's the fire, Pup?"

Aph blushes, "Oh Melissa! I was going to go outside and play with Alexander and Celestia for a bit. When did you get back?"

Melissa nods as she turns to glance at the dogs sunning in the backyard. "I made it back about an hour ago. I came to tell you but you were both asleep and I didn't want to bother you. How'd you sleep?"

Aph smiles and nods, "Really good. If it's alright we would like to order pizza for dinner."

Melissa laughs again, "I could eat pizza, wings too but I'll place the order. Go have fun."

As Aph continues out into the backyard Aaron stops next to Melissa. He shakes his head as he watches Aph start tossing balls across the yard and the dogs trip over each other as they chase them down.

Listening to Aph giggle lifts the heavyweight Aaron felt on his chest. He knows he worries too much about her but he can't help it.

Melissa watches him studying Aph and gently nudges him. "She's going to be alright Aaron. We'll watch out for her."

Aaron nods, "I know Sis. I just don't know what I'd do without her."
