Chapter 82

By the end of the third week, they came to the conclusion Aph was as close to normal as she was going to get. Of course, there was always hope that things would continue to improve but it would take careful planning.

The first thing they noticed was that unless she sat around and did absolutely nothing she would never regain all the weight she had lost. With her new werewolf metabolism, using magic and the little bit of exercise she was getting in she was simply burning too many calories.

She wanted to build muscle so she could defend herself in the future but muscle burns calories and she couldn't spare a single one. She had to carefully watch what she was eating to make sure she was keeping up.

They also discovered that while her heart seemed fine now there were lasting effects from the damage it had taken at Starlight. While none are life-threatening or would keep her from things like having children she tires easily and has to take frequent breaks to build up her endurance.

As part of her exercise routine, she walks over to the Cafe' in the afternoon to see how things are going and to help if she can. Just being in the restaurant seems to lift her spirits.

Most of the time she's simply reviewing inventory with Zane and balancing the accounts. When there isn't any business to deal with she watches customers perform on the new karaoke/para-para dance floor that was installed after Kawaii~Chan insisted they needed it.

The way Aph sees it, it will combine the entertainment value of the nightclub and the dining experience of the cafe'. So far it has attracted even more customers than when it was simply a cafe' and that is never a bad thing.

Celestia, Alexander, and Eli were all brought back to the house and it was clear they had missed her. Having them home has also seemed to lift her spirits as well. 

She has no idea what changed but the lack of obedience she was used to is gone. She remembered Celestia telling her once it was because Aaron was their Alpha and he snuck them treats under the table. Those things haven't changed so what could it be?
