Chapter 79

The front door opens again and they turn to watch everyone walk into the house. Aph frowns and whispers to Aaron, "Does everyone normally come over every night? It wasn't like this before Starlight."

Aaron sighs, "It didn't make sense before but now that I remember, things have changed since Starlight. Everyone gets together almost every night now and even more so since you came home. Honestly, I think everyone's afraid you aren't really here and we don't want to miss a moment. You really were missed Aph."

Tears burn at the back of her eyes and she can't believe how lucky she is. She watches Gene, Zenix, and Zane head straight for the kitchen carrying several pizza boxes and her mouth starts to water.

Her stomach growls loudly and she blushes as Melissa and Garroth turn toward her while Aaron laughs. This constant hunger is worse than that potion mixup in high school.

Aaron quickly grabs her a slice of every pizza along with a Poopsi and sets them on her tray before grabbing some for himself. Aph doesn't realize she completely blocks everyone out as she focuses on her food and nearly inhales it.

When her plate is empty she glances over at Aaron to find him smiling at her. He nods toward the pizza in the kitchen, "Would you like some more?"

Aph rolls her eyes, "I can't believe how hungry I am. I've never been able to eat this much before."

Aaron shrugs, "We talked about this already Aph. You've lost a lot of weight and plus, you're a werewolf now. Every time you used a werewolf potion you complained about being hungry but the potions aren't as bad."

Aph sighs and then glances back at the pizza in the kitchen. She remembers Aaron's chips from yesterday and then wonders about the pizza.

She concentrates on the box of cheese pizza and barely hears Aaron questioning her when the box disappears from the counter and reappears on her tray. She slowly lifts the lid and laughs as she pulls out a slice.

When she glances up everyone in the room except Aaron and Melissa appears shocked. Aph glances down at the pizza in her hand and nervously smiles back at them.

Lucinda chuckles from the living room, "You've gotten much better at that although I taught you aura projection, not teleportation. Now if we can figure out how to make bothersome ex's disappear life would be so much better."
