As he starts to push back to his feet a couple of dark figures step out of the alleyway behind them and he watches them pull knives out of their pockets. "Well look what we have here. Two little lovebirds or love dogs. Why don't you two hand over everything you have of value and we'll be on our way."

Aaron turns to glare at them but with Aph in his arms there isn't much he can do and he's afraid to put her down. "Aph, grab my wallet and phone out of my pockets."

Aph sputters at him and shakes her head, "After everything we've been through these two are nothing. We can take them."

Aaron growls at her, "But you're not in the best shape right now and I'm not armed."

Aph glances from the thieves to Aaron and rolls her eyes and then glares at him, "You mean I'm too weak? Look, you're a freaking werewolf and they're human. They don't stand a chance."

One of the thugs steps closer and snaps at her, "Just do what you're told princess and we won't have to use these knives here on you two."

Aph has had enough. She pushes against Aaron until he has no choice but to put her on her feet. She barely hears him say her name as she turns to face the thieves.

Before Aaron can move he watches them jump back at whatever they're seeing and shifts enough to look at Aph's face. Her eyes have turned white and as she extends her right arm out to her side a blinding white celestial sword materializes in her hand.

She steps toward them and smiles, "That's not a knife mate, this is a knife and I bet mine will touch you before yours touches me."

The two thieves start backing away from her and then swear as they turn and run back down the alley dropping their knives in the process. As she turns back toward Aaron he watches her eyes turn back to their normal warm amber and the sword vanishes from her hand.

She giggles at him, "Did you get it? The Crocodile Dundee quote? I thought it was fitting."

Aaron sighs as he shakes his head at her and moves to lift her back into his arms, "Aph you are seriously going to give me a heart attack if you keep this stuff up."

Her smile slips as the adrenaline starts to wear off and her stomach begins to churn. She knows she's going to be sick at any moment and starts taping Aaron's chest. "Aaron, I have to throw up! Now!"

Aaron rushes over to the closest trash can and holds her steady as she sacrifices her dinner to the trash gods. When she finally finishes she rests her head against his shoulder and whimpers.

Aaron kisses the top of her head as he continues the walk home. "Come on my little warrior, I'll fix you some soup when we get home."

Aph sighs, "I wonder if it's too late to have someone bring me a doggie bag."
