Aaron shakes his head at her, "I have no doubt we could do this all night but you need to get some sleep. We're going to get serious about your rehab starting tomorrow. I can tell you have gotten stronger in just the couple of days since you woke up but it's not enough."
Aph sighs and nods as she feels him pull out of her. The emptiness he leaves behind causes her to shiver and she's not sure if it's from the loss of his heat or the loss of connection with him.
Aaron retrieves the washcloth from the floor, quickly cleans himself, and then uses it on Aph. After tossing it in the laundry hamper he grabs a change of sheets from the linen closet and returns to the bedroom.
Looking down at Aph he can tell she's already getting sleepy so he quickly dresses her and then deftly changes the sheet without making her leave the bed. The whole time his mind wanders back over the last couple of hours and he has to stop himself from starting it all over again.
When he climbs back in bed he rolls to his side, pulls Aph in front of him as he slides one of his arms under her head, and then wraps his other arm around her. He nuzzles the back of her neck and gently kisses it as he feels her body relax against him.
The last thing he remembers thinking before falling asleep is that she is his home and he has no intention of ever letting go again.
The sound of a soft knock on the bedroom door pulls Aaron from the best sleep he's had in months. His eyes drift down to see that Aph rolled over in her sleep and is curled into him with the top of her head tucked just below his chin and her ears rest on each side of his face.
The knock repeats on the bedroom door and he quietly tries to tell whoever it is to go away. Of course, that doesn't stop their visitor from opening the door and stepping into the room.
He watches as Melissa moves over to the foot of the bed and bounces to a stop with a big smile on her face as she studies them curled into each other. She's smart enough to keep her voice down to keep from waking Aph, "So little brother, did you two sleep well?"
Aaron frowns, "We slept well enough. Aph had a nightmare but we got through it."
Melissa gently sniffs and gives Aaron an evil look, "I know you're leaving some details out but that's ok. By the way, whatever you did I can tell she really enjoyed it. Good going little brother! Hopefully, we'll have little pups running around soon."
Aaron blushes a deep red and looks at Aph to make sure she's still asleep. Her heart is still beating a steady rhythm so he knows she hasn't heard anything that would upset her. "Melissa! Regardless of what you do or do not know Aph is in no condition to have children right now. Please keep your thoughts to yourself!"
Melissa rolls her eyes, "Now that she's eating properly again she'll be back to normal in no time. Werewolves heal really fast, remember?"
Aaron sighs and shakes his head, "What do you want Melissa?"
Melissa smiles, "I came to tell you breakfast is ready. Pancakes, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and orange juice. Don't worry I made everything myself so no more accidents."
