By the time they were ready to leave it was lunchtime. Aph's stomach was growling so loud anyone within five feet of her could hear it so Aaron decided to stop by the Cafe' for something to eat.

The moment they stepped through the door they were surprised to see how busy it was and that everyone was rushing around trying to keep up. Seeing how stressed her friends are leaves Aph feeling a little guilty because not only are they short her help but Aaron's as well.

Crossing over to the counter they take the last of the two stools and quietly wait until Zane comes over to them. She could tell he was tired but the exhaustion seemed to vanish the moment he saw her. It's a good thing they're just friends and he's in love with Kawaii~Chan or she'd start to worry again.

She glances around and then shakes her head at him, "I've never seen it this busy before."

Zane sighs and then laughs, "Yeah Kawaii~Chan's idea to put in the karaoke stage is a big hit. I can't even say if the traffic is because of the food or the singing. Do they come in to eat and then get sucked in or come in to sing and are hungry after? It got worse after your little performance and now everyone wants a piece of the action. I guess we can't complain because sales are up."

Aph frowns as she rests her hands on the counter and threads her fingers together. "Do you need help? If there are extra uniforms in the back I can change and take orders."

Zane smiles and then gently places one hand over hers, "It might look like chaos but it's controlled chaos. We have it under control. Now, you didn't come here to talk so what would you like to eat?"

Aph still feels guilty that they're down two people because of her but she decides to let it go for now only because she's too hungry to deal with it. "I'll have a club sandwich and some of the chicken tortilla soup."

Aaron askes for the same and she watches Zane quickly fix their bowls of soup and place them in front of them before heading off to start their sandwiches. She takes her first bite and smiles as the spicy flavor hits her tastebuds.

She's had spicier versions before but she knows not everyone likes setting their mouths on fire so this one is mild enough to be consumer-friendly. She sees Aaron lean over the counter to grab them a couple of glasses of lemonade out of the corner of her eye just as Travis takes the recently vacated stool to her right.

She offers Aaron an appreciative smile and takes a sip of her drink as she turns to Travis and tries to wait for him to start talking. Travis seems a little distracted as he glances over at Katelyn who's sitting on the opposite side of the counter so she nudges him.

Watching him flinch she rolls her eyes and shakes her head, "Travis?"

His eyes widen and he looks at her like he didn't know she had been there, "Oh! Hey, Not Alone Buddy! How's it going?"

Aph sighs and tilts her head, "Why don't you tell me how it's going? If you want to talk to her just go over to her. I thought we were past this."

Travis knows there's no point hiding it, "Yeah we were but she was a little ticked off when I showed up without telling her I was coming home and that whole thing with her mom didn't help. She's been a little distant. She says there's nothing wrong but it's like we're in high school again."

Aph looks over at Katelyn and watches her friend pick at her food. Aph was so busy trying to put out all the little fires that were popping up she forgot about the people who were burned in the process. She's giving Lucinda a choice about Ivan so why didn't she take the time to see how Katelyn felt?
