Aarmau: Remember Me, Remember Us, Just Remember

Chapter 139

If she truly is his daughter he doesn't want to fight with her. The fact she's engaged to Aaron makes no difference to him and he couldn't be happier. He didn't intentionally lie about not knowing Aphmau was his girlfriend, not at first, and when the memory finally surfaced it was too late to backtrack.

From what he does remember Aaron was a nice kid that had gotten caught up in Ein's drama at some lodge a couple of years ago and had been hurt in the process. He had heard Aaron's girlfriend had been caught up in it as well but assumed it was just another fight over a girl. No one told him, not even Sylvanna, that Aphmau had been involved but why would they.

He had been gone most of her life thanks to getting stuck in that prison dimension but no normal person would have known that. As far as they were concerned he was another absentee father.

He only managed to find them after Aphmau returned to public school her freshman year but Sylvanna refused to let him see her. He learned about her from bits and pieces of information he gathered through a couple of investigators but they never mentioned anything about a love interest.

To be truly honest, Zack knew even less about Ein than he did Aphmau but that was because he didn't care to learn about him. Having been coached by Michael, Ein's mother lied about him being the father as a way to ruin his relationship with Sylvanna but he didn't figure it out until it was too late.

By the time he realized the truth Sylvanna had moved, taking Aphmau with her and he had no idea where to find them. He lived with Ein and his mother for a couple of years and even then he could tell things weren't quite right with the boy.

Then the whole mess with Derek, Garte, Elizabeth, Michael, and those damn Forever potions crashed. It had been Elizabeth and Michael's idea to trap Garte, and Derek in that Prison realm but he was too much of a coward to stand up to them.

It's only fitting that they were the ones to get trapped there but by the time they managed to free themselves, Aphmau had grown up and he had missed everything. Everything since then has been a mess.

He had heard whispers of Ein's psychotic episodes but nothing solid. He didn't even think to connect him to Aphmau until Starlight.

And then Michael started talking about the Ultima Werewolf and Lady Irene. He revived the use of Forever potions again and went on and on about the Irene Dimension. He wanted to distance himself but Michael was not a person to be ignored.

I had to change my story a little after watching Jess's video on July 5th and reading her comment about Zack not being Ein's dad. That's what we get when we assume but really how were we supposed to know.
