I opened up my Wattpad acc and I see that, y'all are amazing 😭

Anywho, enjoy this little short scenario I made as celebration 🎉

"Chongyun? Why the long face?" Xingqiu asked, his head bobbing to the side.

The two were sitting out in the mountains, taking a rest before heading back after their commission.

Chongyun continued to bite his popsicle in a way that made Xingqiu's teeth hurt from watching, clearly upset.

While out on their commission, Xingqiu couldn't help but bring up the fact that "ThEre MiGht bE gHosTs" where they were going, and of course, there weren't any.

"Are you still upset over not finding any evil spirits? Don't worry, I'm sure we'll have an encounter with one soon."

Chongyun gave no reply except for another large bite of his snack.

"Yuuuuuuun, come on." Xingqiu groaned, resting his head in defeat upon the other's shoulder. He felt the other tense up when he did.

"Y-...Yun?"

"Oh? Don't like that nickname?" Xingqiu perked up, gaining an idea to turn the other's mood around.

"How about Darling then?" He smirked, watching the other's face start to turn a shade of pink.

"No? What about... Sweetie? Baby? Honey?" He said, pausing to think of more.

"Those are embarrassing, Xingqiu." Chongyun interrupted, taking another bite of his popsicle to calm his constitution.

"I know, they're pet names!"

" 'Pet Names'? Why would you call me something you'd call your dog or cat?" Chongyun frowned.

Xingqiu internally facepalmed at the other's genuine question.

"They're just called pet names, they're used to show off your affection for your partner and not for your pet." Xingqiu explained.

"Oh. I see." Chongyun nodded.

"Qiu, could you pass me a napkin please?"

Xingqiu stopped eating and looked up at the other, flabbergasted. Chongyun had never called him anything other than his name his entire life.

"Qiu?" Xingqiu repeated.

"Yes. Do you not like that nickname?"

Chongyun proceeded to think for a moment before raising his eyebrows in remembrance.

"What if I called you Precious? Handsome?"

With each name it sounded more like a he was questioning why the hell anyone would use them (much less himself) rather than trying to fluster the other.

"Chongyun, you're not very good at this." The other giggled. It was entertaining to watch him try, though.

"I asked Hu Tao for help, but she didn't prove to take it seriously at all." He pouted. "But I did hear one that I thought you would use because of how you talk."

"What is it?" Xingqiu asked, intrigued.

"Love." He muttered quietly.

With the one word reply, Xingqiu took the opportunity to continue what he had started.

"Is this you telling me that you like pet names, yun-yun? Because I can certainly deliver." He grinned.

"*ehem* 'how is my love doing today?' Something like that? Or, 'Is my darling Yun in a good mood today?'" Xingqiu asked, grinning from ear to ear.

Chongyun's face was bright red and all he did was look up at Xingqiu in defeat.

"Alright alright, you win. But can I ask you something?"

"Fire away."

"Would you still rather I call you Qiu, Qiu?" He inquired.

"Yes, that nickname is... most acceptable." Xingqiu said, embarrassed.

Even though any random pet name could cause the other's face to burn bright red, 'Qiu' was all Xingqiu needed to hear from Chongyun to instantly render him defenseless.

"But he doesn't need to know that."
