Xingqiu yawned and slowly opened his eyes, a smile quickly spreading on his face.
In his arms was, in his opinion, the most beautiful boy in the world, resting peacefully in the silence of the late afternoon.
After a full day of running about Liyue Harbor, they were both tired and decided to take a nap together as their next thing to do.
Xingqiu brushed the light, fluffy hair out of Chongyun's face while he gently stirred in his sleep, squishing his cheek further against Xingqiu's arm.
"Love you, Yun." He whispered to him.
It wasn't long before Chongyun eventually woke up as well, barely opening his eyes and rather than sit up snuggled further into his arms.
"Still tired, my liege?" He giggled.
"Mmm.... I just wanna stay like this..." he muttered, burying his face in Xingqiu's chest.
"We can do as you please if that's what you wish. Maybe in a bit though we could get up to get something to eat. Does that sound good?" He hummed, planting a kiss in his hair.
Chongyun nodded against him and rose his head to gaze at his softly. "Thanks for spending my birthday with me."
"Why of course. I wouldn't want to do anything else on your special day!"
"No, I mean..."
He repositioned himself to more comfortably focus on Xingqiu.
"...This is the first birthday you've spent with me as my boyfriend. I guess, I'm just really happy I could spend this day with you like this. Like how we are now."
Xingqiu felt like he was gonna cry. He wondered how he got so lucky sometimes.
"I'm glad I get to spend it like this with you too."
He wrapped his arms tightly around him and rested his head on Chongyun's, who in turn laid his head in the crook of his neck.
"Love you Xing."
"I love you too Yun. Happy Birthday."
