75 - But I Love the Taste of Tea on Your Lips

K so this oneshot kinda centers around how both of them kinda have their own way of giving each other kisses and how Chongyun's is a little different because he's not familiar with how people typically kiss each other in public/in general

Also this is purely meant to be fluff and figuring out their relationship better, nothing more than that

"Xingqiu. Guess who."

Xingqiu swings his legs a little back and forth in thought while he feels the gloved hands covering his eyes.

"Hmmm...surely it can't be my beloved, can it?" He asks, running his index finger over his knuckles.

Chongyun moves his hands out of the way and pouts at him upside down. "Dang it. You're good at this."

Xingqiu blushes at his pout and the downward curve of his pretty perfect lips, tapping his nose. "The best, actually."

"I'm gonna keep trying until you don't know who it is though." Chongyun tells him, putting a hand on his hip.

Xingqiu giggles and gives him a smug smile, putting his thumb in the page of his book. "You do that."

Chongyun gives him an unserious frown before disappearing from view and sitting beside him, resting his head in the crook of Xingqiu's neck. "Whatcha reading?"

"I'm afraid it's nothing about exorcisms or the sort today. Another light novel that I managed to take back from Inazuma is all." He says, showing him the illustrations on the cover.

"Do you want me to read it to you?" Chongyun mumbles into his shoulder.

Xingqiu moves his neck slightly from the ticklish sensation and swallows. "I think I'll manage. I'd rather read out loud today."

Chongyun nods and kisses him on the side of the neck before looking down at the book pages and waiting for Xingqiu to start.

"Your lips are so soft, did you know that?" Xingqiu comments, opening his book back up.

"Is that a good thing?"

"Why yes. They feel very nice."

"Oh. Well since we're giving out compliments, I think your hands are pretty soft too." Chongyun puts his over Xingqiu's.

"I'm glad you think so." He wraps one of his fingers around his before he starts reading.

Chongyun feels more at ease listening to him read, using his illustrious reading voice like he always does. If he was being honest, Xingqiu's voice was probably one of his favorite sounds, and he was very happy with that.

Xingqiu goes on to finish off the last few chapters of his book (which Chongyun didn't really understand but he didn't care all that much) before shutting it and setting it aside.

"Well that was a riveting read. A bit of a disappointing ending though..." he comments before his easy smile comes back. "What did you think?"

"It was good." Chongyun hums absentmindedly, taking Xingqiu's hands and slotting his fingers between his.

"Are you sure you were paying attention? Or were you too focused on my soft hands?" Xingqiu teases.

"They're nice..." Chongyun mumbles in embarrassment.

"Don't worry, there's nothing wrong with that. I like your soft lips too."

Chongyun blushes a little at his comment and kisses the tips for his fingers before squeezing their palms together. "I guess that works out well then."
