"Chongyun, stop."

Between staggering breathes, Chongyun slowly sits up, having previously been laying flat on his back in the grass. "W-what *cough* do you mean?"

The navy haired boy, now slightly irritated, strut over to the other boy and stood just beside him, crossing his arms. "Yun, I think you know quite well what I'm implying."

Now uncomfortable, Chongyun shakily stood up and sniffed, struggling to stand. "I do, but I assure you I'm-" he took a second to sneeze. "F-fine."

Sighing, Xingqiu places the back of his hand on his companion's forhead and shook his head. "You're sick, just as I had suspected. Why didn't you alert me of this before we came out to train today? You've exhausted your body further now."

"Because this morning it wasn't that bad, just an upset stomach and slight coughing, nothing I though was alarming..." Chongyun muttered.

"Well I think the best thing to do for now is to take you back home to your house so you can rest. Let's gather our things." Xingqiu said, patting him on the shoulder and turning to grab his things.

"H-hey, do you mind if I... sit down for a minute first? I'm not feeling so great..." The exorcist told his boyfriend, gently lowering himself to the ground.

"Like how? Are you going to throw up? Y'know what, I'll grab your things, just stay put, okay?" Xingqiu told his calmly, rushing to gather his and Chongyun's things before anything bad could happen.

Meanwhile, the sick boy in question breathed heavily while he loosely held his parasol with the little strength he had left, started to feel sick to his stomach.

"Alright, I've gathered our things, now I- Chongyun!"

Dropping their bags, Xingqiu kneeled in front of him, the other having his hands over his mouth, the parasol beside him.

"Are... are you too sick to stand?" He asked gently.

The light haired boy met eyes with him fearfully, slowly moving his hands away. "I think-"

Before he could finish his sentence, he covered his mouth again and tripped over himself standing up before making it to a tree he could hold on to and finally emptying his stomach on the ground.

Worriedly, Xingqiu grabbed their bags and headed over to him, finding that soon the other couldn't stand any longer and was curled over himself with a hand to his stomach.

"Should we wait a minute?" Xingqiu asked him quietly.

All the other boy could muster was a small nod, and Xingqiu rested a hand on his back while he rested for a minute.

"Xingqiu, I don't think I'll last walking back. I'll faint." He whispered at last.

Seeing his boyfriend like this was difficult to watch, and Xingqiu wished he could instantaneously make it all better for him. All he could do for now though was the best he could to make him feel better, and hope that the illness went away soon. So that's exactly what he decided to do.

"Do you mind if I pick you up then? I'll carry you back." Xingqiu said, moving to sit in front of him and stay clear of the mess.

Chongyun only groaned in reply, which Xingqiu took to mean he could. He watched the helpless boy carefully lift up his upper half and hold his arms out to Xingqiu, who gladly gripped his upper legs and picked him up.

"You gonna be okay like this Yun?" He asked, readjusting him.

"Yes..."

Xingqiu made sure to walk cautiously to get Chongyun home, clinging tightly to the other boy and their bags.

Chongyun on the other hand buried his head in Xingqiu's shoulder, his bright blue hair covered by his hood.

"Don't you worry, Yun. We'll be back before you know it."

Chongyun's parents were both away at work (it being the middle of the day), so Xingqiu let them both in, struggling to open the door with just one hand.

"Yunyun, we're baaaack." He sang quietly, switching a light on and heading to the exorcist's room.

He set him down on his bed and was surprised when he immediately hit the pillow, already asleep. Even in his sleepy, exhausted state he looked uncomfortable, which Xingqiu took note of.

Patting his head, Xingqiu left the room and went to grab a few things for Chongyun, unaware that the other boy had woken up.

"U-ugh...are we...already back?"

Chongyun slowly sat up and recognized his room and the familiar hum of Xingqiu in the kitchen down the hall, realizing he must have fallen asleep on the way there.

"Oh no, I hope he didn't have any trouble carrying me..." he thought worriedly.

Deciding not to trouble him anymore, he took it upon himself to get into more comfortable clothes to sleep in, even though it took him much longer than it usually did.

"Alright, I think this should be- Chongyun, you're awake! Do you feel any better?" Xingqiu greeted him, entering the room holding a couple things.

"I do, yes. I think getting all of that out of my stomach made a lot of the pain go away, but I still feel sick." Chongyun told him, sitting on the bed covers.

"Here, try and drink this. It may help." Xingqiu passed him a glass of water and set down an empty bucket.

"Thank you."

"No problem, my liege. Now get some rest! That's a big factor in making you feel better. Oh, and if you want, I can read you to sleep."  Xingqiu offered.

"That'd be nice please."

"Gotcha. Hope you start feeling better soon, Yun. That way I can kiss you again." He giggled.

Choosing one of the books he had brought along, Xingqiu proceeded to read Chongyun to sleep, sincerely hoping his companion felt better very soon. That way, they could continue to go on adventures together.
