"Makeup after an argument" requested by Bella_bee2009 and Aurora0174
"Do you want another popsicle Chongyun? Or maybe just the stick?"
Chongyun quickly pulled a bare popsicle stick out of his mouth and glanced from the bite marks in the wood to Xiangling, who was balancing plates of food in her hands with Guoba at her side.
"No, you're busy enough. I was just about to leave anyways." Chongyun sighed dramatically.
Xiangling shifted her weight to one side and pulled an annoyed expression.
"Chongyun, I'm not gonna let you come into Wanmin restaurant if all you're gonna do is pout and eat popsicles without Xingqiu. Just go make up with him so things can go back to normal." She said exasperatedly.
"And so your negative mood can stop driving away customers." She muttered, glancing at other tables.
"But he's the one that keeps frustrating me and riling up my condition!" Chongyun rose his voice before placing his hand over his chest and taking a deep breath.
"See? Just thinking about it can already make my Yang Energy upset." He grumbled.
"Look, just go talk to him at least. You can tell him how you feel, and if for some reason he doesn't apologize, I'll step in, okay?"
She walked away with Guoba at her heel, who waved a little goodbye to Chongyun with his paw.
Chongyun gave a little wave back before pushing back his chair at the empty table and picking up his popsicle stick, tossing it in the trash on his way out.
Back at home, he wrote a note to Xingqiu and sent it on its way. With how busy Xingqiu was in his family's business already and now their argument, he doubted that he'd be able to catch him when he was free without them setting up a time.
After all was said and done, he waited the next few days for a response, keeping away from Wanmin Restaurant so as to stay clear of Xiangling's questionings.

"Young Master, you've received a letter."
Xingqiu got up from his bed to retrieve the letter that one of the house keepers had slid under his door, turning it over to see who it was from.
His heart hurt instantly from seeing the sender's name on it, with his own further below it.
In neat, blue ink was a From: Chongyun, To: Xingqiu that was printed on a white envelope.
Xingqiu had always admired Chongyun's handwriting (definitely not just because his own was abysmal and there were few that could decipher it) but for how delicate and pretty it was, how the letters all had this little swirl at the end, and-
Xingqiu snapped himself out of his thoughts and brought the letter back to his bed, opening it slowly to create as few rips as possible.
He didn't know why he always opened Chongyun's letters like this, he ended up throwing the envelopes away anyways. But there was always something that told him Chongyun's letters deserved to be opened with care, and so he always did.
Gingerly removing the small note inside, he looked at what it had to say.
Dear Xingqiu,
I'd like to talk about what's going on between us right now. Meet me at the end of the week in Quince Village so that we can have a discussion alone.
From,
Chongyun
Right beside the from at the end of the letter, Xingqiu noticed there was a word that seemed to have been re-written and crossed out many times, so much so to the point it was illegible.
