Chan only smiled to himself as he kept swiping. "Damn you have so many pictures of him. Why didn't you tell me? You have to send them all to me. Each and every one."

Wait. He suddenly thought of something and turned to face Changbin, looking suspicious. "Hey, why do you have so many pictures of Felix in the first place?"

"Dude, relax okay" Changbin said, rolling his eyes. "I'm engaged, remember?" He held up his hand, showing his engagement ring. "I'll be married to Hyunjin in a few months. I have no interest in your boyfriend." The only person he would ever have eyes for was his pretty Hyunjinnie.

Chan scoffed. "Then you don't need Felix's pictures. I'm gonna delete them from your phone after sending them to myself. I'll leave like...one for you to remember him by." And it would be the one he saw where Felix was dressed formally in a suit during his graduation party.

Changbin shook his head, not caring anymore. After all, he didn't really need the pictures. "Do what you want."

He took his glasses from the nightstand and wore them then went back to reviewing his documents on his laptop. They were records of patients he was scheduled to see once he got back to Korea. He had agreed to travel to China with Chan to monitor his progress and keep him on track. So far so good though.

Chan was keeping to his schedule and cooperating with the therapist. They had also hired him a nutritionist who took care of his daily meals. It wasn't easy but Chan was starting to eat healthy and regularly. No more spicy food too.

In those five years, Chan had suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, and Restrictive Food Intake Disorder. Mingi had tried his best to get help for Chan but Chan never cooperated. As they say, you can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped.

They were all caused mainly by Felix's supposed death and the guilt that came with it. Chan couldn't forgive himself for what he had done so he refused treatment, thinking he deserved what he was getting. He was haunted by nightmares of the night Felix died so he couldn't sleep then resorted to drinking himself to stupor to cope with the pain and to forget the incident for a while. When that stopped working, he found people with similarities to Felix and made them dye their hair and dress like Felix so he could think Felix was always beside him. It actually helped him get some sleep at night, but it wasn't a healthy solution for deep down, he knew they weren't Felix, but he was so desperate he couldn't part with them.

As for the eating disorder, it naturally came with the anxiety and depression. Chan became very selective when it came to his meals. At the beginning, he couldn't stomach anything and when he tried, he'd purge everything out leading him to lose weight excessively. Later on, he started to eat Felix's favourite foods, especially the spicy ones. Chan was normally a person who hated spicy food but that was the only thing he could stomach at that time which caused him a lot of stomach complications. Still, Chan persevered and is now what he is today.

A nutcase.

Changbin sighed. Seemed like Chan really suffered while they were away. They were so focused on Felix's recovery that they forgot all about their best friend. Chan still had a long way to go but he believed that Chan would make it. He would make sure of it.

He was about to open another patient's file when his phone began to ring.

"Who is it?" Changbin asked, without looking up from his laptop.

"It's your fiancé." Chan grumbled, annoyed that Hyunjin was disturbing at a time when he was looking at Felix's pictures. Still, he answered the phone but didn't give it to Changbin.

Before he could even say hi, Hyunjin's voice rang out, hurried and frantic. "Binnie, there's a problem! Felix-"

Changbin quickly snatched the phone from Chan's hand before Hyunjin could continue, then spun on his heels and strode towards the balcony, his grip tightening around the device. The moment he stepped outside, he slid the glass door shut behind him, muffling the sounds of the room.

"Baby, slow down," he said, but Hyunjin's words tumbled out in a frantic rush, overlapping one another, his panic bleeding through every syllable.

"Hey, hey, calm down, baby," Changbin soothed, his voice softer now. "I didn't get a single word you just said. Calm down."

There was a shaky inhale on the other end, a deep, uneven breath as Hyunjin tried to steady himself. Then, finally, he spoke; "Felix went to see Jisung."

Changbin's body went rigid. "What?"

"Ugh, I know. This is so infuriating," Hyunjin groaned. "He talked to Mingi some days ago and... he regained his memories. Everything. Then he told us there was something he needed to do and that we shouldn't tell Chris. We made up a plan, but we haven't heard from him since we parted ways this morning and I'm really scared. I don't know what to tell Jimin and Seonghwa either and they're asking me questions. None of us can get through to Felix and we've dialling his phone for hours." His voice cracked and he sounded like he was going to cry at any moment. "Binnie, I'm worried. He said he'd text me every hour so I'd know he's okay, but he hasn't sent anything yet. Could Jisung have done something to Felix?"

A choked sob followed, the raw fear in Hyunjin's voice making Changbin's stomach churn.

"Damn it," Hyunjin cried. "I shouldn't have let him go alone. Binnie, what do I do?"

Changbin cursed under his breath, his mind racing with possibilities of what could have happened—none of them good. He turned around abruptly, and his breath hitched when he saw Chan standing behind the glass door, his arms folded, expression thunderous.

Shit.

"You guys should have told me about this before letting Felix go there," he said to Hyunjin. "I didn't even know that that bastard was still alive. Where exactly did Felix go?"

Hyunjin hesitated for a second before answering, "The abandoned building of their old school."
