it might be true that our parents don't need to know how many times they almost stopped being parents
that they're better off without knowing that the life they created was not always wanted

because what are they going to do with that?
what is my dad supposed to say after I tell him I woke up this morning and wished I didn't?

we expect a great deal from our parents
we forget they are human too
