Chapter 15 - Make up

Luke entered inside their apartment. He had Dex words in his head and he knew his friend was right and he did need to talk to Ines. Besides he missed having her in his arms and kiss her. And even if it pains him not talking to her and acting like she didn't exist, he knew she needed that to make sure she understood he was really upset with her.

As he entered inside their home, he heard Ines from the kitchen.

"Damn it," she said.

Entering inside the kitchen, he saw Ines with her left hand under the running water, with blood coming out of her index finger.

"What happened?" he said going towards her.

"I just cut myself. The knife slip and caught my finger," she said looking at him.

"Let me see," he told her and holding her hand he examine her finger. "It is not too deep. Come inside, let me treat that," he said.

Going inside, Luke made Ines sat down on her bed, with a wrap around her finger, while he went to the bathroom, getting their medical kit.

Sitting next to her on the bed, he started to treat her finger, while Ines looked at him.

After a few minutes of silence, she decided to say something.

"Luke, I'm sorry about yesterday." she said.

Luke looked at her and then back to her finger.

"Look you are right for being mad at me and don't want to talk to me ever again," she continue while her eyes filled with tears. "I did act like a spoiled child and I'm sorry for that."

Luke sighed and looked at her.

"Look, I also shouldn't have say yes when he asked me to have dinner with us. I knew you already wanted to have our last day of honeymoon just the two of us, and he told me he will be here after Hosnian and I should have say we could have dinner some other time. So I'm guilty too." he said "But I never expected you would do such a scene over that. And like I said, what hurt me the most was the fact you questioning my love for you over a person who is dead. Why do you think I would choose Nakari over you if she was alive? I need to know".

Ines looked down with tears rolling down her face.

"Because you already did Luke. You choose her over me 9 years ago. You said you were in love with me but you never told me anything. But you go on this mission with Nakari and you didn't have any problem to start a relationship with her, and have sex with her. That should be me. It made think that Nakari had something I didn't have and that is why you had no problem to tell your feelings for her, when it took 3 years to finally tell me what you felt."

Luke sighed. Now he understood why Ines always acted like that over Nakari.

"I'm sorry for that Ines. And I swear I think of that all the time. But there is a reason I didn't tell you my feelings for you. It was because I was afraid."

"Afraid? Afraid of what?" she asked shocked with that revelation.

"That you didn't feel the same. After all you lived an aristocracy life, while I was a moister farm boy. Who wanted to date a poor kid from a desert planet?"

"I did and I do. I never cared about your background and where you came from."

"Now I know that, but I didn't back then. And Nakari didn't have any problem to show me she liked me. You never showed me that Ines." Luke said.

"I should have and I regret it not telling you, but I never said anything because I was still had those comments of Anuska and Sandy, that any guy would want to date me, and I was afraid if I told you my feelings and you would say you only saw me as friends and I would be devastated."

"We were both young and naïve and stupid," he smiled making her giggled as he wipe her tears with his thumb. "But when I realized I couldn't live without you, that didn't change and will never change. Even if Nakari was alive, I know I would be with you. And you know why I know this?"

"Because we can go against the force will?"

"Exactly. We are here, together, happily married and I wouldn't change for anything. I love you Ines and it is only you I want in my life. I can't imagine my life without you."

"I love you too," Ines said and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry too," he smiled and wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer to him.

Pulling apart he kissed her. He missed kissing her, even if for only 24 hours.

"Never think that I would stop loving you Ines. You are my wife for 5 years and I would marry you all over again. You gave me 3 beautiful children."

Ines looked at him and smiled.

"Four,"

"What?" he asked.

"You said I gave you 3 beautiful children. Actually 4." she said looking at him. "There was a reason I wanted to have dinner with you alone. Because I wanted to tell you that, we did make our son's wish come true. I'm pregnant."

Luke looked at Ines and tears started to filled his eyes.

"Pregnant?"

"Yes. 3 weeks."

Pulling her into his arms, he hugged her tightly.

"Are you happy?" she asked him.

"Of course I am. And I know someone who will be so happy," he giggled making her laughed.

"First this is our last kid. And second, let's not tell them what it is for now."

"Why? We know it is a boy." he said rubbing her belly smiling.

"But let's make a gender reveal when the belly gets a little bigger."

"Okay." he smiled, "I love you."

"I love you too."

"And I love you too little fella," he said kissing her belly making her laughed.

"Here it go again," she laughed. "And Luke, if you want, you can invited Mr. Kelen for dinner when he is back here in our apartment."

Luke looked at her.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. I know you had to lied and I know how much you hate lying."

"Thank you sweetheart," he said kissing her. "Here, it is all wrapped up. What were you doing to cut your finger?"

"Trying to do Chewie drink from my nausea."

"Come on, I will help you," he said and standing up, they went back to the kitchen, finishing what Ines was doing, happy not only with the fact everything was solved out but the fact that the family was about to get bigger.

Now he couldn't wait to see their kids, that they missed so much and couldn't wait to have in their arms.

Luke and Ines finally had their talk and makeup and Ines told Luke she is expecting again.What you think will be the kids reaction, especially Ben, who wants to have a brother for so long?
