Chapter 93 - The Man at the Market

Ines smiled at her one of her daughters, that was sitting by the table, while the plate with her breakfast was in front of her.

Putting her 4 months old son on his rocking chair, Ines went towards Alli and leaning down she kissed the top of her head.

"Come on sweetie, eat your eggs and toast so we can get ready to with with Grandma to the market."

"Yay." she said and smiled and started to eat her breakfast when Luke appeared in the room.

"Someone is very happy this morning." he said and reaching her he kissed her forehead and then looking at Ines, he walked towards and wrapping his arms around her waist he smiled at her. "And look at you, all fancy in that dress."

"You like it?" she said wrapping her arms around his neck.

"You know I prefer without it." he whispered at her, making Ines smack his arm.

"Luke." she giggled. "Besides this particular dress has a belt where I can put my lightsaber"

"I see. And where are you going dress like that?" he asked her.

"We are going to the maket with gandma." Alli said with her mouth full.

"To the market." he said looking at her and then to Ines.

"Your grandmother invited us and I thought it was a good idea to take the kids." she said

"I agree." he said nodding

"What about you? What are you going to do?" she asked

"I will stay here with my grandfather."

"Don't want to go with us?" she said running her hand through his hair.

"No, you go with my grandmother and the kids." he said and pulling her closer he kissed her again.

"Okay, then let's eat too." she said smiling and they all sat by table just in time for Jobal and Ruwee arrived at the dining room too for breakfast.

The market was filled with tents where many products were exposed for sale, as people walked by, seeing it, and some of them took what they wanted before going to the next bench for the next product.

Ines was walking side by side with Jobal, holding baby Luke on her arms, while pay attention to Alli, who was holding hands with her great grandmother.

"This is amazing." she said looking around. "It is the first time I've being in a market like this"

"Weren't any markets back in in Alderaan?" Jobal asked her a little surprise.

"Not like this and I never actually being there. It was something I never was interest in doing." Ines replied and looked at her "I was a tomboy to be honest. I never liked shopping. Hated being in parties, especially because my mother made me wear those fancy dresses that I hated."

Jobal looked at her with wide eyes

"Really? Hard to believe that looking at you right now"

Ines giggled and nod. Jobal was right.

"I know. Even I can't believe how much I change. But meeting your grandson and falling in love with him, made my feminine side come out more. I saw myself wanted to be beautiful for him. My life change for the past 10 years."

"I see that. After all tomorrow is your 29th birthday."

"I can't believe that either. That I'm almost 30. 10 years ago I was 18 years old, going on to 19, living my life back in my planet and all of the sudden a simple call from your granddaughter made my life turn 180. and now 10 years later I'm a wife, a mother, an aunt, a Jedi and to be honest I wouldn't change that for anything." she said smiling at her baby son and her daughter.

Alli was looking around when all of the sudden she let go Jobal's hand and ran towards a bench where there was a man, with a long beard stand. On his bench there was all the types of jewels, that clearly he made, since he was doing one.

"Mama wook." Alli said pointing at the many bracelets, necklaces and other jewels.

Ines and Jobal walked towards it and looked at it.

"I see sweetie. These are very beautiful." Ines said looking at one bracelet with blue beads. She loved blue, it was her favorite color.

The old man looked at her and smile.

"I see you like that one. You can have it if you want." he told her.

"Oh, I didn't bring any credits." she said.

"It is an offer. A beautiful piece to a beautiful girl." he said and taking it he handle to Ines, who smiled

"Thank you." she said looking at that man.

Somehow she felt something when she looked at him, something that she couldn't explain what was it.

"Come on, we better go." Jobal said grabbing Alli's hand and started to walked.

The little girl looked at the man and waved at him.

Ines looked at Jobal.

"Who is that man?"

"We don't talk to him very much. He is a strange man."

"Strange? How strange?" she asked rubbing Luke's little back, while the baby rest his head on the base of her neck and started to close his eyes.

"He doesn't talk to much. He is the type of guy who keeps to himself, sometimes we watch speaking to himself." Jobal said while Ines looked back at the man who was indeed talking like there was someone next to him, when he was all alone.

"Is he crazy?"

"Not in a dangerous way. We know that. He is harmless. He appeared a few years after the fall of Empire, all alone. Nobody knew who he was, what is his name. He did necklaces and bracelets so people started to call him Jewels."

"You people didn't ask him?"

"We did but he doesn't remember. Ruwee and others, speak to him once in a while, and find out that his family was killed by the Empire and he was their prisoner. My husband believes he was torture just like many others and that trauma made him lose his mind."

"That is horrible." Ines said.

"He doesn't even remember his name and his family. Only that he had 3 kids. I personal believe that with time his memory will come back. That is why he remembers that his family was killed and he was made prisoner and torture by the Empire."

"So if he is not from here, then where did he come from?"

"We don't know and he doesn't remember either." Jobal said and walked to the fruit bench, while Ines looked at the bracelet on her hand and stopping, she turn back and looked at the man, who was still was having a conversation with someone invisible. Somehow she felt something towards that man and she didn't knew why.

Who is that man? And why Ines had that feeling?
