Chapter 84 - Going to Luke

Ines was in the Senate Hospital right after the sun rise. She had being all night trying to low down Alli's fever, but with no success. The little girl continue to be sick and hot, and she knew she had to take her daughter to the hospital.

After asking her brother and sister in law to watch over the kids, she went to the Hospital, where for the past hour Dr. Khuslar, their pediatrician, was examining her daughter, trying to find out where that fever was coming from.

"Ines." she heard calling her.

Turning around she saw her mother in law with Ahsoka right by her side.

"Hey." she said as they hugged Ines the moment they reached

"What the doctor said?" Ahsoka asked her friend.

"I don't know yet. I'm still waiting." she said looking at the room where her little girl was.

After everything that was happening in her life, since Luke's lost his memory, now what she needed was her daughter to be sick, without her father being here.

"Did she catch a cold or a flu?" Amidala asked her

"Not that I knew. She is being a little quiet lately but we all know why, right? Then last night I was in the living room trying to prepare the next season of the Academy, and talking with Ben, when Padmé and Grogu appeared and I knew right away something was not right. When I reached her, she was burning up. I gave her medicine, gave her bath but the fever just didn't go down"

"You did good. Alli is a strong girl. She had being through a lot at such a young age. She will be fine." Ahsoka said.

Dr. Khuslar came out of the bedroom

"Mrs. Skywalker"

"Doctor." Ines said walking towards him "So how is my daughter?"

The Calamari looked at the three women in front of him.

"We did all kind of exams to see if she had some kind of virus or bacteria that was making this high fever. But all the results came out negative."

"Negative?" Ines said looking at Amidala and Ahsoka

"What is that mean doctor?" Amidala asked him.

"It means your granddaughter doesn't have anything that can make such a high fever like the one she has right now."

"So what is causing this fever?" Ines asked.

"We don't know. In a way physically she is fine. This fever is a complete mystery to us." he said looking at Ines. "We put on a IV so she could get liquids inside of her so she would not get dehydrated." he continue. "You may see her"

Nodding, Ines ran towards her bedroom, and her heart twist in pain when she saw her little girl, with a tube sticking on her left arm, while she lay in her bed with her eyes close.

Sitting next to her she ran her left hand on her daughter's blond hair, that was still wet from the fever. She was still very warm, indicating the fever still didn't go down.

Alli opened her eyes and looked at her

"Hey my sweet love. Mama is here okay." she said kissing her sweaty forehead, trying to fight the tears, so she wouldn't upset her daughter even more.

"Mama, whewe Papa?" Alli asked

"Papa not here baby." she said

"I want Papa." the little girl whimp.

The moment Alli asked for her father, Ines understood what was going on. Looking at her daughter she said

"Mama will take care of you, I promise." she said and standing up she went outside where Dr. Khuslar was still talking to Amidala and Ahsoka.

"Doctor I want to take my daughter please"

Dr. Khuslar looked at her a little surprise but even Ahsoka and Amidala looked at her like that.

"Mrs. Skywalker I don't think it is a good idea to take your daughter out of here, especially until we discovered where that fever come from."

"Either way I want to take my daughter please."

"Ines, maybe you should listen the doctor." Amidala said

"I'm her mother and I want to take her out of here right now. Please." she said

"Alright. But you will have to sign a term of responsibility."

"Fine. Just discharge my daughter right now." she said making the doctor leave.

"Ines, what are you doing?" Ahsoka said

"I know why Alli's fever wont go away. Because Luke is not here." she started to explained to them. "You know how much she gets sad and not well every time he had to leave. I never thought of that before until she asked me where Luke was and that she wanted him."

Ahsoka nod. Now she understood what Ines was saying. After she arrived, they told her what happened while she was gone, and one of the things was about the connection Alli had with her father, especially after she was taken when she was 7 weeks old and what Luke did to save her.

"So you think this fever is some kind of way for Alli's to show she wants her father?"

"I know it is"

"So what you will do?" Amidala asked her

"Can you watched over Ben, Padmé and Grogu for a while?"

"Why?" she asked but looking her daughter in law she knew right away why Ines asked her that. "You're going to Dagobah"

"It is the only way. I will take Luke with me because he is 4 months old and I'm still breastfeed him. I would take all of them, but I think it is for the best to at least they will stay here."

"Of course we will take care of them. They are my grand kids."

"Thank you." Ines said hugging Amidala. Looking at Ahsoka she said to her. "If I don't get in time for the new season and when the new students arrive, take care of that. It was a good idea to use your blood too to open the Temple. After all you are a Master too"

"Hey don't worry about it. Just take care of that little girl and bring back Luke." Ahsoka said smiling.

A few hours later, Ines was in the hangar of Coruscant, putting everything she need inside the ship that would take her and her two kids to Dagobah.

Leia, Han and Chewie, alongside with Dan and Gracy were also there to say goodbye.

Putting Alli on one of the beds of the ship, she covered her and kissing her forehead, she went outside and took Luke from her Leia's arms.

"Just be careful okay?" she said

"I will." Ines smiled back

"If you need anything kid, you know where to find us."

"Thanks Han." she said.

"You know how to get to Dagobah?" Dan asked her. She knew he was worried

"Don't worry. I can take care of myself."

After hugging everyone she looked at her other kids.

"Obey your grandmother and our aunts and uncles okay."

"Will you make Awi bewer?" Padmé asked her mother

"Yes I will sweetie." she said pulling her little girl and kissed the top of her head.

"Will you bring daddy back too?" Ben asked his mother

"I will try baby. I promise." she said. "Take care of your sister okay?" she asked and hugged him before looking at Grogu, "Don't worry Grogu, Alli will be fine okay"

After saying goodbye one last time to everyone, Ines entered in the ship, and after putting Luke on his crib and make sure their kids were tied up, she turn on the ship and with that she left the Coruscant Hangar heading to Dagobah for the first time. She only hope Luke wouldn't be upset to see her.

So Alli is sick because she missed her father. Do you think Ines did the right choice to go to Dagobah to find Luke?
