Chapter 62 - Sight

Later that night, Luke and Ines were lay in their bed, after putting the kids in their beds, including the baby, who already had his little stomach full.

Pulling Ines closer to his body, Luke was kissing his wife deeply, while kept his fingers on her long hair.

After a while, they pulled apart, and Luke looked at her left cheek, happy to see the little cut was almost gone.

"That Bacta gel does miracles," he said smiling, also looking at her left arm, where the bruise was also disappearing little by little.

"I'm so lucky that I have an amazing family that cares so much about me," she smiled and kissing him again.

"That is why you feel sorry for Anuska!" he said while he kept stroking her hair.

"Of course I do Luke. I once thought like her too. That I would never be loved by anyone, that I would never have a family of my own."

"But you didn't mock others to make you feel better, or are mean to others," Luke said. "You are good and kind. Only a person with good heart can still feel sorry for the person who did so many bad things to you."

"Well let's say I learn with the best," she winked at him smiling.

Wrapping his right arm around her waist, Luke pulled her closer to him.

"We all need to rest. It was a long day."

"Do you think Alli is more calm. The poor thing was so sad when she saw my bruise," Ines said sighing.

"She is very sensitive, especially with her family. She cares about everyone."

"She will be a great ruler for sure," she smiled.

In the twins bedroom, little Alli kept tossing in bed. The little girl couldn't sleep, still worried about her mother.

Turning to her right, she called her twin sister.

"Pamé."

"What?" Padmé said opening her eyes and rub them.

"I can' sweep."

"Why?"

"I'm thinking of mama. Do you think mama is okay?"

Padmé laid her head back to the pillow.

"Mama is with Papa. I'm suwe he taking cawe of mama. Let me sweep," and Padmé turned her back to her sister on her own bed.

Sitting down, Alli looked at Grogu, who sit down on his floating crib and babble towards her.

"You stay hewe with Pamé. I go sweep with mama and papa," she told him. "Okay?"

Grogu babble at her.

Getting out of her bed, Alli walked out of the bedroom, with Grogu's crib following her.

Stopping, she looked back.

"I said you stay with Pamé, mistew," she said pointing the finger at him, but she knew that Grogu would follow her for sure.

Putting her hands on her hips, Alli rolled her eyes.

"Fine," she sighed and they both head to Luke and Ines bedroom.

Pressing the button, Alli smiled, happy to know that the door wasn't locked. The other night, she tried to go to their bedroom, but the door was locked and she heard noises, wondering what her parents were doing inside.

But tonight she was lucky.

Walking step by step, she climbed on the bed and as she tried to get between her parents, Luke woke up, not really surprise to see his daughter in there.
