Chapter 44 - Awkward encounter

A week had passed.

So far the survivors of the surprised attack didn't arrive at Coruscant and the hope nothing bad had happened, like the one who attacked were able to found them end everything.

So far there were no news and they needed information so they could be prepare for what was coming, because with no news at all, they didn't want to be caught by surprise, because that was not a good thing.

Being a weekend, Luke and Ines decided to go to Dex. Since baby Luke was born that Dex didn't met him yet, and being a good friend that he was, they want to show him the baby. So after lunch, they decided to take the kids and Grogu to the Diner, to eat one of the many good deserts Dex have there.

Once they entered in the Diner, the kids ran towards one of the benches and sat down, while Hermione approached them.

"Hey look who is here, honey?" she said and called out towards the kitchen.

"Luke, Ines." Dex said picking out the kitchen window.

Leaving it, he walked towards them and smiled when he saw the 2 weeks old baby, sleeping on his mother arms.

"Well we decided to come here, first because the kids want your delicious chocolate cake, and you didn't see our little Luke yet," Luke said to his friend

Dex looked at the small baby.

"He is very beautiful," Dex said.

"Thank you my friend," Ines smiled looking at her baby.

"Well let me get 4 slices of cake for you," he said looking at the kids, that clap their hands happy. Even Grogu rose his arms happily.

Leaving towards the kitchen, Luke and Ines sat down in front of the kids.

After a few minutes, Dex himself brought 4 plates with a big slice of chocolate cake.

"What do you say?" Ines looked at them.

"Thank you Dex," Ben said looking at him.

"Thank u," The twins said at the same time, already grabbing their forks and eating.

"You're welcome."

"Grogu thanks you too," Luke smiled.

"Well enjoy. I need to get back to work," Dex smile and left, leaving Luke and Ines with the kids, laughing when their daughters already have their mouth dirty with chocolate.

"Look at you," Ines giggled shaking her head.

Luke smile at his kids. Deep inside, he wonder when they could do this again. They were innocent, not knowing a big threat could be on the way. But he would not allow his family to be hurt, or any innocent people out there. He would not allow the Empire to be raise again.

Looking at his right, he smiled when his baby boy were start to whimp.

"Mama is Wuke upset?" Alli asked with her mouth filled with chocolate.

"Yes he is because it has a stinky diaper," Ines said.

"Yuck," Alli said waving her hand in front of her.

"I better change him. Be right back," she said standing up and heading to the bathroom, leaving Luke with the kids, giggled at them.

"Look the mess you are doing?" he said to his daughters and Grogu.

Grabbing a napkin he wipe their mouths.

Looking up he gasped when he saw Fixer and Camie entering, holding a 10 months old baby girl.
