Chapter 73 - New friends

Ines entered inside Noa start cruiser, where the old man was fixing his ship since they arrived a week ago.

She liked him, and so did her kids. He was a nice man, type of grandpa for them, something they never knew what it was, except when Anakin appeared once in a while, and he was a force ghost, which was not the same.

Hearing the sound of metal being hit, she walked inside, with her daughter Alli next to her and having their baby Luke on her arms. Being 3 months now, he was more active and spent more time awake, looking around with his big blue eyes.

"Hey!" she talked a little louder.

Turning around, Noa smiled when he saw Ines and one of the twins.

"Hey. What brings you here right now?" he said, sitting on a bench and wipe the sweat from his forehead.

"Well Alli thinks you are here for a long time and need something to eat, so we brought some tuna sandwich and some juice," she said

"I help mama," the little girl said handing the paper bag to him.

"Thank you. I'm sure it is delicious," he smiled back and opening the bag, he took the sandwich and the juice and started to eat it.

"It is good wight?" Alli asked him.

"Yes it is. Thank you so much," he smiled back.

He loved the kids and he liked Ines too. She was always worried about him and Cindel. Not that the others didn't care about them too, but Ines had some special care like a daughter type of care.

"So how is it going?" Ines asked, sitting around, adjusting the baby on her lap, who smiled at the old man in front of him.

"It is going well. You guys were right, the Wookiees had everything I need for the ship and I'm sure it will be good as new in a few days. Besides that droid is a life safer," he said looking at R2 who was fixing some electrification panel.

"You have no idea how many times it saves our lives. We can't imagine life without it. Right R2?"

The little droid looked at her and beeped while Alli was jumping around happy.

"I can't thank you enough for your help. I'm glad we came across you. Cindel is loving here, having friends of her age is a good thing, especially with what that girl had being going through at such a young age," he said looking at Ines. "And the fact that since I'm not getting young, at least she is not alone when I'm gone from this world."

"Noa, you will be around for a long time," Ines told him. "But I can tell you that Cindel is in good hands with us."

"I know she is like you guys." Noa said making Ines nod.

"You knew?"

"Yes. I always noticed that kid had something special in her, now I know what it is."

"She is strong with the force. She will be a great Jedi, I know," Ines said looking at her baby who was giggling at his older sister and trying to grab her face, while Alli made funny faces at him. "I can't imagine what she felt when she lost all of her family at only 5 years old of age. Poor girl thought she was all alone, in a different planet. I'm glad she found you."

Noa sighed and nod.

"What kind a person was why if I turned my back to an orphan child. I couldn't live with myself." he said. "Your sister and brother in law did the same with your niece Iris."

"They told you?"

"Yes. They are nice people. They show how big their hearts are by taking a child and love them the same way they love their biological boys."

Ines smiled at that

"Yes they are the best. They may try to be act like they are tough, but Han and Leia are the most amazing people with the most biggest heart you can imagine."

"So are you and your husband."

"I just know the feeling of losing your parents." Ines said kissing the top of her baby's head.

"I know what happened to them. Leia told me that too. I'm sorry about it."

"Thanks. At least my older brother is here with me, but for a long time I thought I was all alone too. I was older than Cindel, but losing your family is never easy. Luke went with the same experience with the lost of his uncle and aunt."

"That is why you two are soulmates. It is easy to see how much you two love each other and your kids are the proof of that."

Ines smiled at the two of her kids. Alli was near Noa smiling at him.

"Do you want mowe?"

"No sweetie. This one was good enough. Thank you so much for bringing me food."

"I wike you," Alli smiled when Noa pulled her towards him and kissed her forehead

"I like you too," he said looking at Ines. "You and your husband are doing a great job raising these kids the right away."

"Well they see you as some kind of grandfather, since they never met theirs. At least from my side. They are lucky to have Luke's mother around and Luke's father appears anytime he wants." Ines said sighing.

"I know your parents are very proud of you and I will be here if you need a fatherhood moment. Even if I know I'm not your father."

"Thanks," she said standing up and they hugged each other, until Luke tried to grab Noa's beard

"Oh no young man this is not a toy," Noa said laughing making the baby giggled at him. He was happy that he and Cindel found these good people and he was glad to be around them from now on. "Where is Cindel?"

"She is with my nephew and niece watching my husband and Ahsoka training."

"She is with your nephew?" he said raising an eyebrow while they both laughed, since they notice a teenage crush was happening between those two.

Noa and Ines are getting closer. Do you think they will have a type of father/daughter relationship? And do you think Ken and Cindel are starting to like each other?
