Chapter 85 - Close to Papa Again

Luke was in the Dagobah, outside doing some practice with his lightsaber.

For the past few days somehow, he felt a disturbance in the force and he felt something was not alright, especially in Coruscant.

He couldn't sleep well at night and he always wake up with a strange feeling in his stomach. He knew something not right was happening, since he felt Ines distress, even if he didn't understood why he felt that, but he did.

R2 beeped and Luke looked at him, while taking a rest from his training.

Sitting down, Luke sighed.

"I know R2. Maybe you right, maybe it is time to return. I still get this feeling that something is happening and I don't know what it is. But this feeling, this anguish feeling that I know Ines is feeling right now, it makes me nervous." he said and looked at R2. "What do you think?"

R2 beeped again.

Luke was about to answered him, when a noise filled the place and looking up, he saw what it looked like a ship approaching the planet.

Standing up, Luke was surprised to see that.

"It is a ship that is approaching." he said as R2 beeped.

Following the lights, he saw the big ship landing right next to where his X-Wing was. He didn't know who was that, but some how he had a feeling, since only a few people knew he was there, and his suspicious got right when the ramp came out and he saw her.

Even if the didn't want to admit to himself, but his heart started to race when he saw Ines in front of her. He did miss her and he didn't know why he felt that but he did.

Walking in her direction and being followed by R2, he stop near the ramp

"Ines? What are you doing here?" he asked her.

"I'm sorry Luke. I know you said that you wanted to come here to be alone, and relax and everything, but I had to come. I wouldn't if it wasn't for a good reason"

"What happened?"

"It is our daughter Alli. She is sick"

The moment Luke heard that, without knowing why, but he felt his heart twist in pain.

"Sick! With what?" he asked her right away

"Fever."

"Where is she?" he asked.

"Inside the ship, laying." she said and without asking where, he walked up the ramp and went inside, followed by Ines and R2.

When he reached the place where Alli was with her baby brother near her, in this floating crib, Luke sighed. Alli was laying on her bed, with her eyes close. Her forehead and hair were wet from sweat, he knew that was due to the fever. Reaching her, he placed his hand over her forehead and gasped when he felt how hot it was.

"She is burning up." he said looking at Ines.

"I know. She is like this for the past 4 days."

"Why didn't you go to the Hospital in Coruscant?"

"I did. There is nothing wrong with her. She is not sick, or have any virus or bacteria for this fever. And it simply doesn't go down. There I knew why. It is because she is away from you. You may not remember, but our daughter has a deep connection with you and every time you had to go somewhere, she always get sad. Now more than ever, since you don't remember her at all." she said.

Looking back at the 4 years old girl, Luke realize now why he felt sad through this days.

Opening her eyes, Alli looked at her father and for the first time she smile.

"Papa!" she said raising her arms towards him.

Without thinking, Luke picked the little girl and held her tightly in his arms.

"I'm here. Papa is here." he said and looked at Ines. "I think Master Yoda had some herbs that will help for sure." he said and he head outside the ship and walked towards the small hut where he had being living since he arrived.

Picking up her baby, Ines followed her husband.

It was the first time she had being in Dagobah, and she couldn't understand how Master Yoda lived in such a depressing place, all alone for decades. How Luke could be there and find the peace in a such a dark and sad place like that.

Reaching the small hut she gasped to see how small it was.

"Dada is living here for the past days?" she said looking at her baby, smiling when the baby looked at her and smiled.

Kissing his little forehead, she entered inside the hut and looked around.

Luke had lay Alli in a small bed, that she thought right away that probably was Master Yoda bed once for sure.

"Sit around. I'm doing this tea with this herbs for her." he said, while he was near a cauldron.

Sitting down, adjusting her baby on her arms, she stayed in silence while looked at her husband. She missed him so much and deep inside she couldn't believe she was there with him.

After a while, pour the liquid to a cup, and going near Alli, he spoke to the girl.

"Here sweetie drink this, it will make you feel better."

Looking at him, Alli drank everything and lay down right away.

"That is a good girl. Now lay back and try to rest okay."

"Awe you going to be hewe with me and mama?" she asked him.

"Yes. Papa will be here. I'm not going anywhere." he smiled at her.

As the little girl close her eyes and started to fall asleep, Luke looked back at Ines, who looked back at him.

"This place is a little small." she said after a while.

"Master Yoda lived here. So for him it was a normal size. But it is a good place to be with, special to protect you from the rain, since it does rain a lot here."

"Maybe Luke and I should be in the ship." she said.

"No, there is room for all of you here. Don't worry." he said.

"Then I need to get my things here then." she said.

"I will go get it."

"That is okay. I need to inform Coruscant that I arrived safely." she smiled back at him who nod.

"Okay then. I will be here watching her. It will take a while for the drink to start working, but it will be a few long days."

Before leaving the hut, Ines passed the baby towards Luke and left the hut towards the ship to get her and the kids things and send a message to Coruscant, leaving Luke in the hut, with the baby on his arms.

"I have to say, I'm glad you are here." he said to the baby who smiled at him, making Luke smile. Maybe this is what he needed to finally his memory to return once and for all.

Ines safely reached Dagobah and finally she and Luke are together again. Do you think Alli will recovered now that she is near her father? And you think Luke will finally remember Ines and his kids?
