Redemption?
Ha! No redemption for the devil
No redemption for me
I'm past the point
when I could turn back
And say, "I'm sorry"
"Forgive me"
No, my friend
I do not ask for forgiveness
How could I?
I did nothing wrong
In my own eyes
All I did was light a match
And watch your precious little houses
Your precious little gardens
Your precious children
burn like straw drenched in gasoline
You set them up for failure
No, my friend
I did nothing wrong
But sit back
And watch the flames
Lick at the soles of your feet
You should have been more careful
To mess around with the likes of me
I warned you from the start
What would happen
And now look:
It happened!
Why are you so shocked?
Liven up a little
We're all crazy underneath
We're all devils
We all have demons
Stop acting like I'm something from a nightmare
This world is a nightmare
Chaos, chaos, chaos
Everywhere
It's not my fault?
It's not even your fault
You know who's fault it is?
No one's.
Stop blaming me for
breaking a rule or two
Because we all break rules
We all desperately claw
at the fringes of right
and wrong
Just some of us are a little stronger
Some of us cross the lines
Call me crazy
Call me a monster
I'm not a monster
And I'm not crazy
I'm just different
Smarter than the rest
I've stopped fitting into your perfect little molds
Symmetry?
Ha!
The jagged lines make for a much, much
more interesting picture
Don't you think?
I don't want your forgiveness
I don't want your punishment
I just want to be left alone
While I ruin everything you've worked so hard in
Because that's the fun part of life, isn't it?
Watching someone waste so much time
Working so hard to achieve something
But when you just huff and puff
And blow a little bit
It all falls down
Vanity, my dear
Never leads to great things
Madness, my love
Always leads to things that people remember
Do you want to be forgotten?
I refuse to let anyone forget me
Or look me over
No!
They're going to stop and stare
And maybe they'll scream?
Maybe they'll cry out in fear?
Or maybe they'll learn to love me?
I don't care what they do
As long as they look at me
And don't forget me
Or what I've done
So don't you dare point fingers at me
Or call me a devil
Or call me a demon
Or call me a fiend
No, my friend
I'll take your finger and break it
Just step back
Just step down
And watch everything burn with me
We'll set the world on fire
It's already so full of chaos
Add a little flame
And boom!
Order
------
Oh, my goodness, look! I've actually capitalized things. Shocker.
