i said hello to you today
with tears in my eyes
and a smile on my face
because i hadn't expected to see you
and i had missed you
(so much)
it was nice the time we spent together
it was sweet, it was beautiful
and it was short
and then you were leaving
and i told you
not to forget me
and i told you
that i loved you
and i told you
that i had to let go
and i told you
to not forget that
i loved you enough
to let you go
(i won't see you again
for a long time,
and this time there will be
no miraculously visit)
i said goodbye to you today
with tears in my eyes
and a smile on my face
my heart was breaking inside my chest
my lungs refuse to give me air
but i still smiled
and you smiled, too
and i knew that your new life
was going to be a happy one
and i thanked god for that
