the sunlight bathes her skin
her skin glows like ivory
polished and fresh and strong
the sunlight is jealous that i can touch
more of her, things hidden under the sheets
her smile reminds me of summer
the glint in her eyes of spring
her hands are cold like winter
her hair as soft as fall
she's a year in one person
all seasons wound tight around her bones
the map of her body is full of mountains and valleys
and caves that i can't wait to explore
the sunlight squeezes through the cracks in the blinds
it wants her almost as much as i do
but neither of us can have what we want
just yet
