we sat around talking about the good old days
when we were young and full of life and full of love
there were names that came to our heads
of people we had forgotten
but who were so important to us back then
(makes you wonder if friendships ever really last)
we laughed about the stupid things we had done
and laughed about how bratty we were
we just laughed about the past
and it felt good
i felt high
because back then I had no tragedy
I was clean, I was free, I was safe
so i guess remembering the good old days
kinda makes me sad, too
